diversity of news sources by political party
And Conservatives get really ticked when Liberals are even willing to pay attention to the BS lies spewed by the right wing sources listed in article.

My main news sources skew center/left with CNN, New York Times and Washington Post as straight news sources and Daily Show as comedy opinion.
I "pay attention" to the skewed right sources like Hannity and Beck only insofar as The Daily Show snips and critiques them. To be fair to those sources, that is not an objective way to see them since it is always through the lens of John Stewart. So if conservatives are getting ticked by that, I don't blame them. But I also have no desire to watch Hannity or Beck without the Daily Show filter so...oh well. When I want objectivity, I go to the center sources like CNN (which is pictured as slightly left of center but they don't give anything that is absolutely center).
As you say, everyone is (according to major parties) supposed to be polarized.
I'm "liberal" on most issues but always forced myself to watch Fox News for the other side
of the story.
Then I soon noticed Fox liked to leave out certain points of information if doing so would
make the Republicans look better or the Democrats look poorer (in both stories and video).
But to my surprise, after I got good at spotting this type of thing I began to notice the same
actions in Democrat controlled media.
When I mentioned this in a primarily Dem. forum I was verbally "run out of town on a rail" and
seriously doubt anyone actually considered what I reported.
But a little time spent in watching how each party behaves, especially during a critical period, will
convince most what I speak of is true. After all they're all just greedy politicians.

It's hard to avoid the Fox spin as they own so many local stations throughout the country. They are making sure their propaganda slowly seeps into the "minds" of the unaware, uneducated and uninformed as far as the signal can reach.

I wouldn't trust any news source uncritically, you have to factor in their potential biases and agendas and make your own conclusions. I don't watch TV news mostly, I maybe catch the local once a week. I read articles online from aggregates like Drudge, RCP, and twitter. I don't need some talking head to tell me how to think.
