Going out

How many of you are out goers, like go to bars or parties atleast once a week.
Main question: Have you ever gone to bars alone, Im bored this weekend, and wanted to go out, don't have anyone to do anything with, how was your experience going alone? I'm not very social, and might not even drink, but just to try and socialize alil. Drunk people are usually easier to talk to, but it's not a club environment so people might not be that drunk, but yeah..

I drank quite heavily from 16-18 . It was kinda fun. I think I 'grew up' a bit too fast though.

When I turned 18 it was legal to drink in England so that part of the thrill was gone. England has a culture of binge drinking so my unwillingness to drink very often was considered very strange.

I never actually met a girl in a club that turned into anything serious, it was pointless and a waste of money really.

I have never gone alone which is weird because I do all kinds of things alone, like the cinema.

Yeah, I go to the mall, go out to eat, and to the movies alone and have done that a lot of times. But never been to a bar alone and since I'm not super social I feel it will be weird, but I have to push myself so...

I do not do that sort of thing quite that often, but I do sometimes go to bars and parties...have gone to bars alone and socialize some, though that has caused a couple unusual situations. I only go to parties if I am going with people i know. However I kinda prefer concerts, record stores so I can spend 3 hours looking at music till I decide what to get, and smaller gatherings or just hanging out with one other person...but certainly do get out of my house a few times a week.

I got to a bar 5 or 6 days/nights a week… but that's because I work there. Otherwise I only really go to one place max once a week, but on average once every few weeks, and only late night to hang out with my friend and his coworkers. I'm not big on bars at all besides when I work at them.

That said, it's PERFECTLY acceptable to go to a bar solo! There are plenty of other solo people in for a beer, and if you don't want to socialize with any of them you can always visit with the staff - that's what we're there for! Or feel free to roam around and visit with others, or ignore everyone and just have yourself a pint and relax.. there are no rules besides not being an as*hole, really.
