I know there's already a thread for movie/TV characters, but are there any aspie book characters you guys know about?
For one, I will nominate Jason Fox, the youngest son from FoxTrot. _________________ Itaque incipet.

am just reading this now cindy (on your recommendation ), and i wouldn't be surprised if all THREE of the main characters weren't a bit aspie, quite frankly.

Am in love with Mr. Darcy.
Dr. Frankenstein's monster from Frankenstein, and perhaps even the doc himself. Or he at least seems to have a poor social life and an extreme obsession, at least. _________________ Itaque incipet.

| Anybody think Stargirl from Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli? I'm unsure; I haven't recently had access to the book but she might more have scizotypal personality disorder, or something in the odd/eccentric cluster. Though really there was nothing wrong with her, just the entire rest of the world, was the implication. Any thoughts on what she might have if not AS, or was she just fantastically cool? |

I could ask my sister. She's read the book more than I have. Stargirl was definately a bit odd, but that could mean anything. _________________ Itaque incipet.

Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter, granted she just farthers the belief that its funny to make fun of us but she seems to have no eye contact and shes obsessed with things that cant be proven and she is extremely unpopular, seems aspieish to me, wish we got to know her better (though Im only on book 5.) Then theres most of the characters in Ender's Game. _________________ "we never get respect ... never a fair trial

That seems logical, though I know practically nothing about Harry Potter. If you're wondering if Luna seems to be an aspie, I suggest you ask Mockingbird or Bec. Either one of them would probably know.
Hmm... I'm still trying to analyze all the characters from TLotR and see if any one of them is a bit aspiesh... _________________ Itaque incipet.

Elrond. And I suspect Gandalf.
Maybe Gollum.
And back on HP, I agree. And Hermione also, to a much lesser extent. Possibly even Harry himself, in some respects. And Dumbledore and Voldermort also show traits.
BlackLiger in my stories. As well as Assassin and Knight (also in my stories and based on RL aspies who I know) _________________ "Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?" |

When you say Elrond, do you mean the books or the movies? Or both? Come to think of it, he does have some aspie traits... and Gandalf does too. Maybe Tom Bombadil-or is he merely insanely eccentric?
Not so sure about Gollum, however. I think he has some other personality problem. _________________ Itaque incipet.
