Interesting stuff.

I read Sacks' "Musicophilia" (after reading few excerpts published in New Yorker magazine).

Found it uneven-some parts dull, other chapters were excellent. The story of Clive Wearing (man with amnesia) & how implicit/procedural vs. explicit/declarative memory works was esp. interesting. Despite having no continuity of personal narrative (for new or recent memories), he & his wife found ways that still made improvement in his quality of life.
Also, hearing how people with difficulties are often able to function (however temporarily) through use of music, dance, singing is intriguing from neurological standpoint.
