Wow cricket, you know I have heard about it and I have seen it in movies and what not, but I have never really understood the game. Can you or can anyone explain the game to me, I am very interested.

This poll is horribly designed... huge flaw...

YOU FORGOT TO PUT A "i dont play any sports" voting option...

i am in no way a sports fan... i hate sports... i cannot stand listening to it on the TV, the noise of the crowd just drives me up the wall...

i also find sports to be quite boring to me.

ummmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmm I kinda made the poll for people to talk about the sports that they enjoy playing so I purposely didn't put the option "I don't play sports". This topic is geared towards people who would want to talk about sports and which ones are fun, not for people to come in a complain about how they hate sports. Its fine if you don't like sports either to watch or play but then maybe this topic isn't really for you. Sorry next time I will try to keep in mind how there are people out there who dislike what I like.

Basically you have 11 players aside 6 batsmen n 5 bowlers including a wicketkeeper the rules of cricket is u have 2 batsmen on the pitch 1 is the striker which means he is facing the bowler n the non-striker is not facing the bowler infact he has 2 call for the run so u have 3 signals they r yes no or wait.

As a bowler u bowl 6 balls in 1 over n u have aim at the stumps preferly off stump which is the left stump.

They r many ways u can get out being caught at the field, wicketkeeper who is behind the stumps, bowled, lbw which means leg before wicket which basically means u put your leg without playing a shot, stumped n hit your own stumps.

I have a link which can tell u more in depth

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket

I hope this helps

I accept our differences, but I don't appreciate how you are treating me on here. Its not that I purposefully made this post to rag on you so don't rag on me. I didn't include many sports in the poll in the grand scheme of things, so its nothing against bowling or whatever sports are not up there. The post was made to talk about all sports, so if you would like to talk about bowling lets talk about bowling. I used to coach bowling for awhile, and I love going to the lanes to bowl with friends. How long have you been bowling?

Oh god... how long have i been bowling... geez thats hard to answer... back when i was really little i used to suck on my fingers, the ones you stick in the bowling ball... odd probably bowlers suck hahaa... the first time i ever bowled was when i was five... my highest score all time was a 240 and the average is about 120... mind you these stats are from when i could walk... i lost ability to walk in aprilish of 2007 but i still love to bowl... even though its so different and you score lower... i still find it a lot of fun to watch... the clatter of the pins is one of my favorite sounds of bowling... and yet i dont like a lot of loud noise, especially talking but i dont mind 20 lanes clattering at the same time Laughing

I was never that good at bowling I am lucky if I get a 100 lol. I coached it but I found it a lot easier to coach then to actually do. I always have a good time when I do go bowling.
