| Do you prefer to live on the farm, out in the country, or in a small, rural town? Do you like to live amidst the hussle and bustle of the big city? Do you prefer the conventionality of the suburbs and exurbs? |

| I too would like to live in the city, but the suburbs also appeal to me, and to get a house generally one must move to the suburbs, so I voted suburbs. |

| Write-in for a small city. (Out of these, I'd pick the suburbs) |

In this poll, a small city counts as country. By big city, I mean a major metropolitan area. By country, I include the dinky college town my university is located in. |

Big City is for me. I don't feel rushed by hustle and bustle, so that is not a big problem. I hate yardwork, and I don't want to go through the effort of keeping a house in repair, so I'm going to be in the city for some time. _________________ All your bass are belong to us. |

Give me quiet and peace and nature, the country for me. (But close enough, of course, to a small city so I can have some societal contact and also buy my necessities).
I don't mind the Burbs though, too. I would prefer them to the city ANY day.
But COUNTRY would be my first choice. _________________ Autism Speaks: The Walmart of the 501c's.

I live in a suburb, and hate every minute of it. All the rich whiny parents and their children, ,almost all white community, old people everywhere, and I like variety.
So. The suburbs are not diverse enough, and the countryside is boring because I completely loathe nature and would probably be bored out odf my mind. Cities for me please. _________________ (Currently undergoing personality reboot) |

| I'm sick of populated areas in general and want to live someplace remote. I suppose I'd need to live kind of near a city for logistical reasons, but I wouldn't want much to do with it apart from that. |

Maybe I don't have the same idea of a "small city" as you do. Because the ones I'm thinking of (like the city I live in) don't seem anything like the country to me. I guess I just consider them small because they're not like NYC or anything.
BTW, I wouldn't be able to stand living in the country, and I don't even care to visit there. |

As much as I love nature, there's no way I'd want to live in the country. There's nothing to do for miles, I would have to spend a fortune on high price gas commuting to work (I can't drive anyway), it's usually mostly white so people would look at me crazy every time they saw me walking their way and the boredom would drive me nuts.
The suburbs? Well, it would depend on how far they are from the city's center. Like I said, the price of gas would kill me, driving all those miles to work.
Now the city, that's where I live, although it's no Atlanta. I live in a beautiful area with century-old historic homes and diverse economic levels and people of all persuasions. I can walk or bike to many stores and restaurants nearby and several bus routes run by my neighborhood. Our part of town has big trees and plant life everywhere, something that's missing in the suburbs. _________________ "There is difference and there is power.
