As of this September, I will be enrolled in Portland Community College, not majoring in anything, but knocking off classes I really don't want to take.

After I accumulate 92 transferable credits in 2010, I will transfer to Portland State.

Next fall, I will be transferring to Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas (just south of Austin), majoring in geography/urban planning.

Because I want to go to college.
I am not a big fan of 2-year community college, but this is one way to cheat my road to college.

I'm at a small school that nobody's probably ever heard of. I'm in my junior year and am studying psych. I will then go on to get a masters and a PhD so I can get into autism research myself. I'm guessing my exact branch will be cognitive psychology.

I want to go into research so that I will spend more time analyzing data (which I'm good at) and not dealing with people/analyzing social situations (my weakness). Long term goals are establishing the link between autism and giftedness and in some way redefining the spectrum, which I think is far too broad at the present. (Hey, I can dream on that one, right?)

I'm actually doing a thorough psychoanalysis of myself this month.

Is Texas a nice place to be? I'm somewhat considering a school in Texas, but I'm not sure what to expect from the Lone Star State.

Yes, it is a nice place to be. Especially depending on what part you are looking at. Really though, few states are completely scummed up. What school were you thinking of? Rice, SMU, Texas A&M, UT? I've lived a lot of my life in Texas so I will probably know some things about the places you would think of.

UT Dallas, they are my best option financially. They became obsessed with recruiting National Merit Scholars a few years ago, so they would actually pay me to attend. I believe they are actually located in Richardson, despite what their name would suggest.

EDIT: Is UTD considered to be inferior to UT Austin? I've seen the rankings claim that UTA is better, but if you look simply at the statistics of incoming freshmen, UTD seems to attract a more talented student body.

Oxford Brookes (That Other Oxford University, where all those who don't have too much money, or ridiculous amount of Alevels can do fun subjects), studying Film Studies. I'm just about to finish my first year. ^___^
