Hi all. I'm most likely going to be appearing on CNN Headline News tomorrow to speak about Wrong Planet and how people with autism connect and communicate online. It will most likely be somewhere around 5-6 EST. They'll be taping/broadcasting from New York. Obviously if some sort of breaking news occurs there's always the possibility of delay/cancellation but hopefully things will work out and you'll be able to see me tomorrow on your TV sets.

(notice: this is NOT april fools)

I think that is great news(haha...I just got my own joke).

Could you slyly slip in a comment about how some people on the spectrum would appreciate it if the "experts and media" would stop using such terms as diseased and defective.....I am going to start throwing stuff if I have to read one more article that so casually uses those terms...it's like the "N" word to me....arrrgggg.Some of us can read, dammit. Don't they realize how offensive that is?(and to bust two other myths....autism was not "invented" in 1994.....and you don't "out grow" being on the spectrum...so,yeah,there are adults with AS)

I'm just glad the story you're in isn't one of those that includes a phrase like, "And then he paused to reload..."

:D

Awesome! Too bad I don't get CNN though, as I live in Canada and don't own cable. Maybe the video will appear on youtube though? Or someone can post it after it airs? 8)

You might mention that not every one with the dx is good at computers (since there's that stereotype). I'm not-however I can type online (and speak, offline). Being able to think, feel, and express oneself in words is all one needs (in contrast to having to be skilled at using/understanding computers, etc.) to belong to an online ASD support community. Technological stuff makes my brain freeze hopelessly, my mind can make no sense of it. Yet, when it comes to psychological language-I can think, feel, reflect, express with great comprehension & complexity.

Am quite pleased to hear you'll be on, hope I catch the program-CNN's schedule seems notoriously unreliable (subject to change)-for understandable reasons, but it still thwarts my opportunities to see programs of interest.

I'd say "break a leg, Alex", but that's for theatre.

For the benefit of us Canucks, somebody post the link once it's up on Youtube!
