Do you pronounce it like "Asperjers" or "Aspergers"?

By the way, the correct pronounciation is "Aspergers" because the man who discovered Aspergers was German and in Germany all "g's" are hard.

It depends if you're British/Australian and pronounce all of the syllables.

For some reason I found that quite funny. I suppose that's true enough. What I mean is whether you would (if you said it properly) pronounce Aspergers with a "j" or a "g".

the german way, obviously... that also means that the 'a' doesnt sound like in 'ass' but rather like the 'u' in 'grunt'. the 'e's are the sound of the 'e' in 'believe' and, as mentioned, hard 'g'. Smile

People shouldnt worry how they say it and how it sounds.. We can make it sound whatever way we want because language should evolve and change.

I also speak German next to English. I say it perfectly German: Asperger-Syndrom.

I just shift the emphasis from the second to first syllable a lot by accident.

With the hard "g." And emphasis on the P so that it doesn't sound like burgers. Of *any* sort.

I pronounce it without being hard on the "g", because I pronounce it with the spanish language's tones Confused
It's ok anyway?
