i'm slow.

my mom used to say that i had two speeds, slow and reverse.

i can't keep up with just about anybody if we are say walking in a mall or a zoo or someplace like that.

i'm slow getting into a car, carrying things, doing just about anything. my running speed is equal to most people's easy walking speed.

my 6yo daughter is the same way.

just wondering if this is part of AS or just a me quirk.

Motor coordination and motor planning problems are common in autistic people of all sorts, and can definitely lead to slowness in some people. (And a subset of us will experience increased slowness (constant or intermittent) during puberty or young adulthood.)

Not necessarily, I tend to walk fast and try to get routine tasks done quickly.

I tend to sometimes walk very fast and speed ahead of other people....but in many other areas, I am very slow and fumbly...it does not help that I am constantly distracted...mentally.

Me too.

Me three I don't like to stick around. My dad walk painfully slow. There is a certain speed that is almost impossible for me to walk slower than, it just feels horrible.

I can be a very fast walker, but if I am shopping for groceries I doddle, I have to read all the labels, or plan meals, since I do alot of the cooking, I don't really think being slow is an aspie trait

An area in which my slowness is painfully apparent is whenever I have a job in the foodservice industry...every aspect of those jobs i seem to perform 10 times slower than everyone around me....also.....sports......and even though I ride a bike everywhere, i seem to ride more slowly than other people.

I am fast at churning out artwork..sometimes...

I walk fast when moving from place to place.

When shopping, or looking around, I move very slowly, looking at every single item.

I suck at sports.

I can run fast.

I think it's an independent trait. After all, not everything you or I do can be pinned on Asperger's Syndrome.
