Both my gross and fine motor control are atrocious.
However, when I play an instrument, even if it is the first time I've played it, all my motor control issues disappear, and my fine motor control becomes MUCH better than most peoples.
Does anyone else experience this?

I don't know about playing instruments but I have learned to type pretty fast on my computer's keyboard in 1 month (8 years ago my parents caught me viewing porn so then I was not allowed to access until I learned how to type). People are often impressed by my typing speed but I usually have problems with fine and motor control.

PC keyboard, Reading, Music. I am good at all of the above, yet I can't ride a bike.

Hmmm. In the case of music, its because music stems (interestingly enough) from Maths. and Maths stems from Logic.

I can type at what people tell me is a very high speed. I have no issues at all whatsoever doing so but my handwriting is atrocious and I am extremely clumsy. I've also had good experiances trying out musical instruments but I've had to 'play by ear' as I have trouble reading music. Only the drums and keyboard but I want to learn guitar.

Who hasn't dropped a tuba? I'm fine when playing an instrument, but watch out when I'm relocating myslef while carrying it.

I'm OK at music, though I'm poor at team sports I flinch when balls come flying towards me.
My handwriting is so poor I'm considered to be dyslexic. I'm not good at typing though.

I can't really play any instrument unless you count playing 1.5 of the parts of Heart and soul (not both, but not just one) on the piano at the same time, or pecking. I don't have enough air in my lungs to play anything that requires lung power (as I learned when I took a shot at the clarinet).

Unless you count the kazoo as an instrument! That, I can play as well as anyone! Razz
