Anyone know of good private schools for AS? I found one in Delaware (Cedar's Academy). Has anyone heard if this place is any good. Are there any other similar schools in the SouthEast? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks |

I don't live in that area so I have no idea. My husband just discovered there is an Aspie high school somewhere out here, and I'm still clueless on where it might be.
Sigh. Information can be difficult to come by when you are dealing with such large geographic distances. It's tough enough to get an accurate handle on what local schools are like, much less one far away.
I wish you luck in your search, however. _________________ Retired from my moderator duties - Push moved past shove in my real life, so I made final my desire to retire as a moderator
Mom to an amazing AS boy. Have at least a few AS genes myself, although probably more NT than AS

| I wanted to go to one of these, but my dad could not afford it. The best one I found was the Franklin Academy, in Connecticut. |

This is the school I wanted to send kiddo to (you know, if I had a trust fund...):
Brandon Hall
They even have a boarding school for people who need that option. The methodology is just... exceptional.

The district will pay full cost if your child is found uneducatable in the system or you can prove the school has failed him. It may be a long battle--not sure.
