I'd say you very well could. I often post in Random Discussion rather than the appropriate forum due to more replies (sacrificed for less serious answers). _________________ I was sad when I found that she left

This sounds like an odd idea.
If someone is interested in sports, they would, presumably, be looking in the sports forum.
Putting a thread about sports into the general forum seems wrong to me. Why would it get more replies? I'd suspect it might get some "why is this here" type replies.
Chances are, someone would suggest that it should be moved to the sports forum, which we'd probably do, so you'd be back where you started.
What is this thread you are talking about? If it's the NBA thing, you only just posted it.
And, finally, the answer to your subject line is that it is against the rules to cross post. _________________ "Striking up conversations with strangers is an autistic person's version of extreme sports." Kamran Nazeer |

What about something from the School board into the Haven? It was about my anxiety toward university, and I didn't get any attention in the School board, so I went to the Haven board. I waited a couple days I believe. _________________ http://www.neopets.com/refer.phtml?username=suziesuesue

That seems fine... i think it would be a crosswired topic...
either it is haven material or school material...
best bet is to wait until it drops off the first page of any said forum its on before cross posting... thats my standard _________________ check out my website at http://www.alinssite.info and my forum at http://www.disabledplanet.net and my WP threads by clicking

Actually, if you genuinely think that you have started a thread up in the wrong forum, we'll usually move it for you. I.e. not out from adult to general... but where it's just that you realise it would be more appropriate elsewhere.
I.e. if you had asked for the thread you mentioned above, moving from school to haven would be fine, I think. Just don't make a habit of it! _________________ "Striking up conversations with strangers is an autistic person's version of extreme sports." Kamran Nazeer |

Sure, as long as you're not posting like a political\religious thread in general or something that blatently doesn't belong there. _________________ Assuming a near infinite number of possibilities, reality encompasses just one. Simply amazing.
