It seems like lots of AS people prefer individual to team sports - for obvious reasons (personal space issues etc), im one of them. But what do people here think? Do you like individual sports over team-based ones? And if so/ if not, what do you play in general.
Individual sports = martial arts, running, cycling, swimming
Team sports = football, baseball, basketball etc. |

I think I dislike pretty much every team sport. I'm pretty bad with catching things and hand-eye coordination. Plus, I don't like team-work. Individual sports are great, though. I especially enjoy weight training but I also like running and ice-skating.
Are martial arts an individual sport? You have to touch other people a lot |

| Martial Arts and other contact sports would count as individual, because the nature of them is in personal effort, teamwork doesnt really come into it. |

I like just about any individual sport except for martial or motor sports. Skating, running and rowing are some of my favorites - Personal velocity, outdoors, combined with mental reflection.
I avoid participating in any/all team sports. My least favorite one is probably volleyball. If I could change myself to be good at a team sport, it would probably be baseball. _________________ Checkout: Folding@home!

| I'm easily frustrated by team sports - I like to win all the time, so if we lose and it's someone else's fault, it makes me mad at them. Also, when I'm playing, I tend not to play so well because I forget the rest of my team is there and try to do everything myself. I really got into trampolining and rock-climbing as a kid, but now I love my martial art, but I have to be careful, the results of clumsiness are worse than usual! |

I don't play ANY kind of sport for a club.
I do however prefer individual sports. I've done a few in the past including absailing, archery and cross-country running. Those were fun, but the running was GRUELING!
I did cross-country in school for 2 years, absailing at some kind of adventure challenge place (forgot the name of it) and archery at one-tree-hill (a mountain in NZ)
I've never participated in any team sport apart from school P.E lessons. _________________ The hero is no braver than the ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer

i row, which is a team sport unless you're in a single (i'm not). I also love biking and swimming. The thing about rowing is that you don't communicate with your crew-mates while on the water, you don't have to read them, nothing. you just have to follow them exactly. i enjoyed soccer to some extent but wasn't very good at it, i didn't always know where i was supposed to be, my ball handling wasn't very good, etc. i could kick far but that was about it. i also enjoy ultimate Frisbee to some extent. other than that i don't really like team sports.
i like rowing because, well, i love it, and because i get to do a sport that's like an individual sport but you get to talk to your crew mates and stuff. it also makes conversation easy because you can just talk about rowing if you've got nothing else to talk about. i've really gotten to like cardio over the past few years so individual cardio is really nice (biking, swimming) because i get alone time and i get to do cardio. |

| I like to take part in individual sports as I like to be responsible for my own actions and also I don't work well in a team. Cycling is great becuase it is just you and the bike and that helps with my extremly introverted personality. |

I played team sports in gym classes and local leagues. I watch team sports on TV from time to time, but as a participant, I feel better with individual ones. Swimming and bicycle riding are the things I enjoy most because it's just me doing it.
Occasionally, sharing a lane in the pool with someone else can be a problem when crowded. This doesn't happen often, though. |

individual = cross country, track
team = soccer, volleyball
I probably like the individual sports more because I am better at them and I don't have to rely on others. |

The only sport I like is badminton. You can either play it with one person or with doubles against each other. _________________ I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.
