You just know that in a few years time if it does become accepted the earth is getting cooler they will start saying that all this action to prevent global warming has been a great success and is responsible for saving the world from global warming.  |

Look.... Paganism was the 1st world order, monotheism was the next world order, which is almost at it's end now. The New Age will be the next world order, the NWO..... They'll be using global warming sham to get everyone on board this "we are one, lets save the world"... And at that point people will no longer be allowed to view themselves as sovereign, independent individuals..
Much of the greening has already been on a big role now, environmental rights and land ownership and sh**. Bottom dollar says that there is a sewer line or a water mane or something going through any one of your yards, underground, which is owned by the state/province. Meaning, if you wanted to dig, lets say for example you wanted to build a swimming pool. Well, you've got that pipeline going through your yard, you don't have a say.
Fact remains, you pay all those taxes on this piece of land, how can you claim to own it? Who'se collecting those taxes? How far does the ranking of this taxation system go? You do not really own anything. |

ya have to admit though that 'catastrophic climage change' is a great marketing tool. I mean, how else would you sell poison-filled light bulbs for EIGHT DOLLARS!

In Bonnaroo Music Fest, there are those that lack responsibility and waste and those that embrace responsibility and clean up, like the pushover roomate or whatever.
For conservatives, there is a higher sense of order that seems to take more practical solutions like considering less energy=more money.

funny thing is, just a few mere decades ago they were selling the public this same "global cooling" scare..... But when the earth shifted to a different natural cycle or something, ice caps began melting and other such atmospheric conditions that they decided global warming would be easier to sell to the public than global cooling. |

| It's not global warming or cooling, it's overall climate change. For example, it was -2 C in Delhi in December. It's 41 C now. India had its worst winter ever in 2007-2008, and the worst summer now. I recall, when I was young, it used to touch 41 C during my birthday in May 16th. It's now April, and it touched 41 C 5 days ago. The lowest temperature recorded her during winter was 8 C. The monsoon rains were disappointing last year, it rained only for a few days, but in the Andhra coast, all crops were destroyed in the worst south Indian floods in decades. The Andhra coast is only 6 hours away by road. |

No, the 'they' that talked about global cooling a few decades ago were 2 'scientists' that didn't even do do research directly on the topic, and Time, Newsweek, etc. That is rather different than the thousands of hard-core climatologists that have said that there is clear evidence that the climate is warming, and increasing evidence that the warming is due to atmospheric changes caused by people. |

1) Fluorescent light bulbs (which contain small amounts of mercury) have been around for decades.
2) Compact fluorescents (which have a built in ballast so they work in regular sockets) are more expensive initially, but cheaper in the long run. The other way they get people to buy them is by pointing this out. |

| We are on the verge of an ice age!! The proof? Glaciers around the world are shrinking! The Arctic polar ice is now breaking up in the summer! Larger parts of Antarctic ice shelves are floating off and melting. Only politically correct long-haired hippies and their minions could possibly believe in global warming. |
