Anyone have any idea why I would be seeing ghost like lines on my display? they seem to eminate from any black or darker area of the screen and then carry horizontaly across the rest of the displayin a transparent greyish color. The problem originated several days after I installed the latest NVITA driver.,, however. re-installing the driver and reverting to the initial driver that I was using has not resolved the problem. anyone have any ideas??

Do you have an LCD or CRT display?

First thing that comes to mind is it could be a cable problem.

I'd also check the sync frequencies for your monitor. (quickly)

The Manual that came with the monitor will contain the h-sync and v-sync frequencies. I dont know what you are using, so it depends on whether you use Xorg or Xfree or whatever. Probably best to just reconfig X for a slower refresh rate. If you use Windows, I have no idea whatsoever.

Also check for anything near the monitor which may cause interference e.g. speakers.

If they are stagnant and your screen is an LCD then you might have LCD bruising: relatively harmless but requires a new screen/monitor to get rid of them.
