| I would love to live somewhere where I can dress up everyday, whether it be a pirate, a kitty or a pirate cat-girl. I liked college because I could go to class in pajamas and no one would care, but no place I've found in "real life" is like that at all. |

Capitol Hill. It's Seattle's gay/artist/nightlife neighborhood, and you can pretty much go out in public attired however you want without raising eyebrows. Even corporate retailers have to ease their appearance codes in that area, otherwise they can't find employees. If you ever do find yourself their, keep an eye out for Link. He's a rather large man who's ridden the metro buses in that area for years dressed as the character "Link" from the old NES game, complete with wooden sword and shield. I was about to say - Broadway! Dox, we've been over your way twice in the last few years and haven't seen Link yet, but I'll keep an eye open (heading over again in August). We did see an old guy in a dress (not a drag queen, a very hairy old guy) on the Volunteer Park bus - clearly, from the conversation, on his way home from Value Village - and four rapper kids in skull makeup on the bus back from U District. I much prefer peoplewatching to trying to make conversation...

Haha, we have the Mad Trapper here. He dresses like a fur trapper and Davy Crockett and walks all around west Edmonton, hoping one day he can live in Fort Edmonton. He's quite the character. |

| Aha! So I'm not the only one who's seen Link! In addition, Seattle also boasts the most famous homeless man in the world, Richard Peterson (gentlemen, start your Googles!). He's the heir to a large amount of money, but he's nuts and wanders the streets, harassing radio DJs, architects, and Johnny Mathis. He also played piano on the hidden track of a Stone Temple Pilots album, and can draw the skyline of any major US city from memory. Isn't Seattle full of interesting people? |

Man, I wish Boise had a cool neighborhood like that. My mom would probably keep me far away from it, though.

I've heard that Boise is very conservative. I almost moved there for school, and changed my mind after hearing about that.
