Female from Massachusetts. But, noting the forum this is in, not looking to "find" a male. ((Or female, were I not of the straight persuasion.))

What I want to know is why isn't there an option for the intersexed community? Jim Sinclair, a renowned aspie, is one. Also, how are transsexuals to count their gender? Should they go by the gender they identify more with or with the gender they were born into (or whose chromosomal configuration they share)?

We need a recount because of these oversights.

Ditto, and on and off powerful rains on some days. Love complaining about this place.

Wanting to be a woman does not make you one (and vice-versa). While there may very well be some true hermaphrodites here, the chances are fairly low, and the option would only serve to skew the results as people jokingly tick 'Other'.

As for me, I'm a male.

Last time I checked, I was male.

Checked again: Yep, still am.

In reponse to previous poster check out this from here
Quote:
Intersexuals are people born physically between the male and female genders with anatomy that is either ambiguous or comprised of varying degrees of both male and female anatomy. Intersexuality occurs in many forms. Some intersex people are born with chromosome arrangements other than XX or XY, including Klinefelter's Syndrome (XXY arrangement) and Turner's Syndrome (XO arrangement). Other forms of intersexuality include partial or full androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS), adrenal hyperplasia, and Progestin-induced androgenization. Some intersex people have ovotestis or one testis and one ovary. Intersex conditions sometimes do not become apparent until puberty, leading to a person having "normal"-appearing though grossly underdeveloped genitalia. All counted, as many as one in 100 people have bodies differing from standard male or female.

I'm am definitely all female myself thanks.

Wow, I thought there were more girls than that. I guess there's just a larger percentage of the board's female population posting.
