Today some random said I look like a French guy. I have French blood in me... but I didn't think they looked any different from any other people...? Lol, wut? should I be worried? I wasn't wearing a beret and I don't have a moustache or a bread stick... just wearing my regular school uniform... how can someone just all of a sudden look French? (that sounds so bizarre...)

Cultures can have subtle facial or body characteristics that they are recognized by.

For example, my mothers friend is Pourterican and he said that quite a few Pourterican men are short. I don't know if this is true or not as i've not met many Pourterican people...but he seems to think so.

Oh, and something else I noticed...people from the Pacific Islands tend to have wider noses that Caucasians.

...Although, I really have no idea what a french man is supposed to look like. Sorry >_<

It's the same as how people can tell if someone's Asian, or British, or whatever. I notice that usually French people have more pronounced cheekbones. Besides, you shouldn't worry. I find that a lot of French people are good-looking. At least, the girls are... I haven't seen enough French guys to determine that for sure, but I'm sure they must be, too. :P!

imagine the difference in features between a chinese person and a Japanese person. both are "asian" but they do look different. so it is with germans, french, italians and swedes! all the european countries have certain features that are more common to them. But with globalism thats changing.

I think French males often tend to have prominent, rounded features - some previous French leaders look very "French" - look up images of Chirac or De Gaulle. Again it's one of those differentiable but also real subtle things.. hard to describe in words unless maybe you're a face expert or something.

A typical Frenchman will have intelligent brown eyes, his expression will be condescending or philosophical, he is easily excitable and can be quite violently forthright, he will have fulsome seductive lips usually formed in a pucker.

Wears a Beret, smokes sh***y cigarettes, eats croissants and brie cheese, likes Edith Piaf movies and Jerry Lewis and may be selectively mute while pretending to walk against non existent wind or be stuck in a non existent box.

My dad looks as French as it gets. He is on the shorter side (5'8"), has dark skin, black hair, and light blue eyes. He definitely has a French temper. As for me, his daughter (and part-French), I have reddish hair, fair skin, and green eyes, which can also be associated as quite French-looking. I think for my dad, though, he is more southern French than anything.

I'm half French. When I grow moustaches, they grow really thin. Makes me look French. :)

I live in an area with few French people, and here people say I look French (I am 1/8 French Belgian and my last name is an Americanized version of a French name). I have light brown eyes and dark brown curly hair, but I am over 6 ft tall. The French people I know say I look more German - which makes sense because I am 1/2 German. The rest of the family is British Isles. At least in the US, if your last name sounds French and you have dark hair, people will say you look French.

I've had people look at me and ask if I'm german. And I am descended from germans
