Legal working age?

I'm turning 15 this month, and I'm wondering whether or not what the legal age is to start working because I'm thinking about getting a summer job.

Is the legal age 15 or 16?

Canada - varies between provinces
United States
New Jersey - 12 or lower depending on job
Maryland - 14 with a work permit.
UK
13 - Part time work WorkSmart from the TUC shows that the type of work is restricted to light agricultural or horticultural work or as allowed by by-laws. Thus, the true minimum age for general work is 14 years.
16 - Full time (if left school)
18 - Night Work

it depends of your country and state (if in the USA). check with your labor board, employment development agency. or google it.

In US it's 16 pretty much everywhere, but there's no one saying you can't mow lawns or something.

I've been working at Burger King on and off since I was 16.
Every once in a while we get a school take-over where a bunch of school kids come and work all day at the BK, and mostly those are 12-15 year olds, but they don't get payed really.

As you do not mention what Country you live in (or what state in the usa) this is hard to answer. but 15 should be ok almost everywhere.

I know in nevada you can work at 12 in a family business, and at 14? Maybe 15 if your parents sign a right-to-work card. Basically this is a note saying you understand the labour laws that concern under-18s.
