I'm really, really quite worried about it. Ugh. I know some people from my old school (I left secondary school in Year 9 because of severe depresion - my Asperger's was suspected but undiagnosed then). Anyway, 1) I'm worried that the people I know from there who will go will make my life Hell and bring up things that happened then. 2) I'm generally worried about how to act, what to say to people, blah blah blah.

For the most part, I don't want to admit to anyone I have Asperger's. But I don't want anyone to think I'm intentionally being rude or hostile towards them, or think I'm being rude if I shy away from them if they touch me.

I also am worried about being part of a mixed sex learning community, after being out of that for 5 years, and obviously not being around adolescent boys at all.

I know it's 3 months away, but I want to help myself now so September won't be so difficult =/

I'm going to 6th form in September as well. As it's at my secondary school (as they offer A-level courses as well as GCSEs), I'm feeling rather comfortable. I can't wait!

Frankly, I'd advise you not to give one crap about them.

They act against you, go straight to either a teacher or school psych. Explain you have HFA and as such, are quite uncomfortable around them.

Give them one chance and if they continue, return fire!

An Aspy can make life extremely miserable for people. I know I musta sent at least one teacher to drink Very Happy

As an aspy, it is your right to be happy. If you can't be happy, make others miserably.

Sort of like reverse-empathy. You feel like crap so they will feel like crap.

*Sage nod* I recommend Napalm or Oxidizing Elemental Magnesium when applied to a few support beams. Always good.

Regards
Ashley

People are really accommodating when you let them know. It may be that I am at a later stage in life. Of course one thing that us old people tend to forget is how difficult life in any school prior to college can be. No matter what you do I would recommend having a plan to take time for yourself that is just to remind yourself of what an amazing person you really are and everything that you have accomplished and everything that you have to offer.
