I have made several attempts. However, they freeze up as soon as you show any sign of having studied anything not useful with farming. I was guessing they would be another group not that doesn't retaliate against Aspie traits.

I don't know any Amish communities near me, but I wouldn't fit in because I love my computer too much

I feel like an isolated amish person having to live amongst 'the english', that's how autism affects me.

They are religious and are suspicious of unbelievers generally. I can understand that, I'm the same way. Why don't you become one? If you're that interested in them. I'm in Australia so it's not possible....when I look into religious communities here I can't find one I would join.

I'm too corrupted. I wish I had approached them as a teen.

You can repent, in fact it's mandatory, repentance. It's a new start.

Baptist Fundamentalist is as close as I've been able to get. Anything more conservative would be disruptive to my family.

mmm well it's up to you, some people discard or distance themselves from their family and former friends on becoming 'faithfull'...you see things differently then. Maybe you're too young to move away from family stuff at present.

I expect my wife will outlive me, so I'll always be too young.
