If you try adding someone on facebook atleast six times, without realizing the person wasn't accepting you, is that illegal. I sent this person two messages; one asking how she liked her university and if she used the gym; and two if she wanted to be friends. I never recieved a reply and didn't send her any further messages. I also no longer add her, as now I've figured out how facebook works. I didn't call her any bad names, didn't stalk her on facebook, or threaten her. Did I break the law anyways by trying to add her a few times, when she didn't want me to add her...?

You see, there's the law, and the "law."

When a woman cries Wolf, no matter the circumstances, you are wrong. Period.

The law says innocent until proven guilty. The "law" says guilty until proven innocent. Welcome to the real World.

Bluesummers, you might be confusing reality with To Kill a Mockingbird here. Actually I don't think you've done anything wrong; it's just Facebook. Maybe send an apology note to explain.

Sorry, I've stopped reading literature since I was like 15. The moral to that story was?

For our purposes the moral was 'Black people are never innocent, even when it's painfully, painfully obvious they didn't do it.'

And this differs from the real World how?

Ignorant masses > Intelligent few.

It differs from the real world in that you can't convict people with nothing but a pile of circumstantial evidence for their acquittal anymore. You also can't charge someone for sending you a bunch of Facebook invites, and women have to prove some reasonable complaint to get you in trouble with the law.

Ah, to be young and naive again...

Seriously though, you'd be surprised how twisted the World can be.

Which would be twisted into a stalker with a convenient excuse.

Ah, to be old and bitter, that I might better understand such a cynical and pessimistic outlook.

Wait...

The trick is to really stop bothering her from then on. It's facebook, it is as easy as not reading the page anymore.

However in real life, you always get into people's paths, it is hard not to give a bad impression, good that here there really are no rules against stalking neither are people utter paranoid about that.

Oh, you'll get there. The more you struggle, the deeper the grave you dig.

What's the definition of inevitability again?

What did you do to her? Shocked I've never known a girl to deny a facebook request, as facebook means nothing really.

I reviewed the laws, and I didn't break any. I think I am just paranoid. Ill be going to the same uni as her in September and I just don't want their to be any problems and disappoint my parents.
