| You've been speaking to the wrong ones, some of us are more intelligent and overall more mature than some adults. |

You're an aspie though aren't you? I'm talking about the neurotypical adolescent boys. They're so immature. |

i can't speak for you but as a rule, i think perhaps girls with AS are harder for them to relate to than NT girls, who may have better experiences with them than we tend to have. you might be much more adept socially than i was as an adolescent girl, but
i am basing it all on an experience i had at seventeen, when i had an unrequited crush on this guy at my college. the crux of it was, i think, that my eccentricities bemused and made him uncomfortable, and he hadn't the patience, intelligence or compassion to try to understand them. i don't think he was the most humane and certainly not the smartest or most open-minded guy, and perhaps had he possessed at least one of those qualities he wouldn't have reacted to me the way he did.
i wasn't entirely the grieved party in that situation - i said some rather derogatory things about his gf, which he proceeded to tell her, i discovered after receiving a series of bizarre emails from him which he claimed she'd written, and the habit that alienated him was one of sending him rather lengthly emails despite seeing him on quite a regular basis - but it's not something i did when i was amorous, although that was obviously the assumption he made, and pretty soon, rumours began to circulate about my 'stalking' him thus. because despite never having had any contact with him outside college, he'd confided in me and started quite lively conversations with me, i basically thought of him as a friend and when he became distant and failed to reply to the said emails, i had a go at him about that, which i saw in retrospect and even subconsciously back then, wasn't really appropriate as we weren't actually friends before the cyber stalking and the girlfriend were added to the equation. it all culminated in me sending him a rather confrontational email in response to the strange ones he sent me, and him responding with an email full of expletives and telling me in summary that he did not wish to remain on speaking terms.
so while i think the majority of 17/18 year old guys or maybe the majority of people would have been freaked out and distanced themselves in that scenario, i think some might have done it more gently and insightfully than he did it.
i feel like i've monopolised the thread a bit. i'd be interested to hear more about your or anyone's interactions with the opposite sex though. |

Bah, for the record I'm not entirely sure if it's just a thing with NTs, people who aren't NTs in general (You don't have to be an aspie not to be an NT) could be immature. I bet a decent amount of aspies that are in adolescence are quite immature, especially judging by the people who've messaged me on this site and I've spoken to, some of them were very immature, even those older than me. Now did I say all were immature? No, actually more were very mature than immature but around three people I had issues with.
Regardless I don't even think it's a question of sex, one of the main reasons I find myself uninterested in most girls I meet is because of their maturity levels, which is why I plan to wait a few years. I personally don't see the point in high school relationships that last a week to two months, which is why I tend to turn down people when I'm asked. |

I can agree that it seems that way. High school was not fun for me etiher. It is both genders that can be annoying and immature, but they are not all bad. _________________ A person that does not think he has problems already has one-Me

Am I now? I actually read the title wrong at first and thought it just said adolescent at first, didn't think it mattered to much considering my updated post above which I argued it's not something that depends on you bring neurotypical. I especially feel it doesn't have to do with your sex either. |

| I'm an AS boy, i don't like NT boys at all, i don't see reasons for the things they do sometimes, i get along really well with NT girls though; i don't look at them as a sexual predator so they don't feel uncomfortable around me, and adolescent girls are more patient and understanding with people than adolescent boys. just don't date them! because once emotions are in the mix it gets messy lol |

I can't deal with normal NT adolescent girls' drama to be honest.. If that's the correct word. And for the record NT boys aren't sexual predators. |

yeah but mostly NT boys are wanting girls to do stuff with, otherwise they'd go with their guy friends who they can relate to better (unless they're girly guys).
Yeah, the drama is bad. thats why i said don't date them! cos once emotions come into it its drama drama drama and more drama |
