For example, I think of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3" whenever I hear this song:

simple association, many songs remind me of many things. Whether it be because I was listening to that song when that memory took place, or because of the way it sounds.

There is a lot of music I can't stand to listen to because it brings back bad feelings of the time that it was "popular"...unfortunately...that was most of my life, so.... I do still like some punk music or stuff I heard after I got my life More together but any thing "popular" before college....can't stand to hear....even though I actually like the songs themselves. It kind of sucks.

When I play a song (as in, on an instrument myself) and think of something unrelated, every time I play that part of the song from then on it will remind me of what I thought of then.

When I listen to certain music, I remember my cat, Samantha. She used to listen to music with me all the time.

I get the same effect in a strange way, I can't explain why it happens the way it does. For example, my favorite song "Don't Disturb This Groove" by The System is a love song, but I don't think of romance. It reminds me of playing video games and having a great time, and Stacy Lattisaw's "Let Me Be Your Angel" always make me think of going to movie theatres.

Normally reminds me of a season of when I listened to the song the most. But I love that moment. Like the other day I was sitting on the train looking out the window. It was hot and sunny, but then a song came on the ipod which reminded of winter. awesome moment!

When I was listening to some song many times while reading some book (specially when I was listening to it or reading it for the first time), later I have a strong, long lasting (11 years in the oldest case) association with that book while listening to this song again.

For example:
- The content of my type cassette with 1997 top carnaval hits, specially "Respect yourself" by DJ Bobo reminds me of Kajtus the Wizard, a book about adventures of a boy who wants to be a wizard and his wish comes true. When I got this cassette, I had just borrowed this book and I was reading it while listening to it all the time.
- Phil Ochs' "I aint marching anymore" reminds me of "Sandman" comics.
- Shania Twain's "Ka-ching" is for Mailer's "Ancient evenings".
- Songs from "12 groszy" by Kazik Staszewski - association with one collection of s-f stories collected by Don Wollheim.

Ditto on that. Theres really too many specific songs and their linked memories in my head to post :P Some songs remind me of a time, place, person or sometimes just a feeling or mood.

„Creatures of light and darkness” by Zelazny – the song “Zegarmistrz Światła” (Watchmaker of Light); this song is about death. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXEIbawiD3c

Radiohead's "Creep" reminds me of a girl I am still not over.
Any ska-punk reminds me of sunny days back in uni.

This song always reminds me of a current crush i have on someone, and actually parallels how i feel.

Tons of other songs remind me of events that have happened in my life, how i felt, and other things.
I remember listening to Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall' and thinking, 'hey, this is me!'

Music is more then pleasant sounds, it's an entire soul affecting entity.
