Well I has AS and I have a few other problems that I'm wondering if others have and if it's connected with my AS:

*I have tons of problems concentrating when something breaks my focus

*I have problems with laziness (I get angry when I'm asked to move something like a couch because it is hard for me... But I'm physically able to do it so it should hurt but it feels uncomfortable)

*I sweat alot, for example when I'm sleeping I have to have a pillow between my legs because they would sweat. I need a fan to cool me off while I sleep or I sweat.

*When hormones, ones that comes out when someone becomes sexual active, get produced I often become hard to deal with

*I like acting like a dog, more so a puppy when I'm with my girlfriend. I guess it could be called pup-play but I just like to act like a dog... you know stuff like licking, panting, laying on her, drinking from a bowl, being tugged on a leash, being talked to like a dog (given commands)

* I can't do thing when I don't think about things. For example when I work it is mindless and easy to do, so I have to busy my mind with other things to keep my mind busy

Anyone else share some of these things or know any other disorders that could cause these.

I can't focus on things or tasks I know I can do or complete. It just bores me. There is no challenge or puzzle to figure out.

I only sweat when it is hot.

I used to work at a grocery store stalking shelves. It is mindless work and my mind was racing with thoughts to keep me entertained. I think it's more I can't do either or on their own. I have to be both moving some part of my body while thinking. A new person was hired which I realize now probably also had AS as he was exactly like me and we had a lot of really interesting conversations. He is one of the few people I've met that could hold his own in an intelligent debate against me, was really refreshing.

yes that's AS. One of the main points of us, being obsessed about random sh**. It can range from being 'short-term' to life-long in length.

haven't seen that too much personally. Wait, yes it has happened to me. It is likely something relatd to AS.

don't think that's AS-related. I wonder if the 'sweating' is related to Anxiety Disorders or something.

You're male. Well yout profile says so Question
So when you're horny you get wild? Or when you get interrupted when masturbating/wanking you get angry? Most people are.

I used to act like a puppy dog all the time. I also have a need to sleep with a fan on. I sweat sometimes, I don't think it's more than most people. I used to feel uncomfortable all the time before I started running everyday, now it's easier to do things like vacuum and move stuff without a lot of discomfort I feel a bit more confident and concentration is a little better.

I'm very sensitive to temperature. I need to have a fan or sleep naked otherwise I sweat like mad.

If you mean you can smell sexual pheromones and they distract you, then I completely get what you're saying. It's one of the reasons why school dances made me uncomfortable.

I lick things and pretend to be an animal a lot but usually that doesn't go over into my romantic activities. Though sometimes my other obsessions do.

I think these things could be related to AS, or just your personal uniqueness / kinkiness : )

Well, I'm not a diagnostician... a lot of what you say is familiar. The pillows, first off - if I don't have the right pillows to prop me into position to remain cool, I won't sleep. Can't sleep when sweating, sleep with the windows open in winter to avoid it. Motivation is difficult for me; was moreso when I was younger but have since found ways to make myself get moving in some cases. Still, there are issues when it is something I am not personally interested in. If you're referring to pheromones... I don't know. There are some people who have a scent that will have me climbing walls, however. Lastly, when you talk about keeping a busy mind - when I write music, I often have two other sound sources going in the background so my mind can focus on the one thread I'm pursuing. Without the distraction, I'm not productive. The only thing I can't find common is the animalistic traits... there are some conditions where through displacement or delusional thought one might find a premise for diagnosis; is it necessary? If you're happy with it, and it doesn't hurt anyone, then why does it need a DX? Just a thought. Otherwise, though... I can relate to what you describe. Some would consider thyroid issues with some of the symptoms... randomly came to mind. Interested in what else you experience; take care.

I have a few of those things, my dad has often yelled at me for having a fan on while I sleep. But I think I am more of a cat, I have a theory that some people are cats and some are dogs, for some reason I always get close to dogs, I remember a friend who may have been on the spectrum acted like a dog.

I'm always very sensitive to heat and I do not like being very hot. I don't mind cold but I hate feeling hot and bothered (and I don't mean sexually aroused).

Anxiety and hyperactivity are pretty common even among neurotypical people.

The puppy thing sounds like play. Is this connected with sex for you? It might be role-play if it is. I can't say I've ever heard of this as something unique to Aspies.

You sound like a teenager and an Aspie and like teenagers hormones and sex can be worrying. I know its not easy but it gets easier. And having a girlfriend is a great start.

Laziness ,horniness (sexual arousal) and anxiety are human traits shared by Aspies and non-aspies a like.

I apologise if you are not a teenager but Aspies can often seem younger than they are.
