If I'm understanding this right, you're asking how long it took for me to really open up on here and feel like I was at home when I posted on here?
I'd say it was about a month. _________________ Join the ASAN social groups in NYC & NJ!

LOL, probably shouldve said something, huh?
Well for me while I've posted stuff its been mostly lurking and not really interacting. I guess I mean like really comfortable. Interpret that how you will. Some forums I can never get warmed up... Others I have thousands of posts. |

Just over a month. For a long time I was unable to even focus long enough to read any threads let alone post on them. But slowly over the past month of trying I have got to the point where I don't find it to hard to read a thread and even think of things to post into the threads.
Yeah I did alot of just reading later on when I was able to focus enough to read the threads. But now i have started to be able to think about posting. And now I can do it with relitive ease compared to how difficult it was for me at first. _________________ Unfortunately being human is a genetic disorder, and ultimately fatal.

| I feel a lot more comfortable than I used to, but I'm not fully warmed up yet. It takes a while. |

| I'm comfortable. I don't remember how long it took for me to get there, though. I joined too long ago. |

I started posting pretty much as soon as I joined. I had just found out about AS about a week before, so everything happened really quickly. Normally on most other forums, it takes me a lot longer to warm up, perhaps on the scale of two or three months, unless I already have friends who are online there. _________________ Itaque incipet.

Instantly.
I got a vibe from this place that it was a welcoming and good place to be. I posted straight away.
To some of your distaste, I won't be leaving unless I am banned, or don't have access to a computer. |

It doesn't matter whether I am speaking to 2,000 people or chatting online,
I can do it impromptu. |

It took me a little while, mainly because I was used to being an outcast in other places and thus felt nervous that anything I said would be misinterpreted. I still get a bit scared about some things, but I still speak my mind and have thus far been pleasantly surprised to realise that for the most part, this is a really non-judgmental place! | Of all places, online is definitely one where I do not feel nervous. I didn't take very long at all to adjust to posting here. |

About 2.2 seconds.
Online, I spend much time debating, moderating, managing and annoying people _________________ "Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?" |

I suppose this is a really subjective thing. To warm up to the forum you need to want the support, if you lurk you end up knowing all of the main posters and when you post you illogically expect them to be on your level I suppose. This is how I felt initially. I reckon 1-3 months definitely for me.
I'spose warming up to the forum is tantamount to being at home, and being at home means having people (even if it is only the odd member) recognising your name/avatar whatever... _________________
