Yeah I went to my doctor's appointment and then I had to go to The Dollar Tree for some stuff. There was this bicyclist in front of me and I couldn't go around him because there were cars coming towards me on the other side of the road. So I had to slow down and wait for him to let me by but he wouldn't. So I kept driving slow behind him trying to get around him but cars kept coming towards me and then I was about to go around him but the car parked on the side of the road; the driver opened his car door. So the bicyclist had to slow down and so did I. The car honked behind me, yes I had line of cars behind me but I do not know how many. I am not sure if the car honked at me to speed up or he was honking at the bicyclist. Then after we both got by the parked car, he finally went onto the sidewalk and I said "Thank you you stupid bicyclist."

Also another annoying thing about them are they ride on the side of the road because they can't ride on the sidewalk I assume, so I have to slow down when I go by them but if there are parked cars on the side of the road, it's so damn annoying because it's hard to get by them but if it's on a one way road, it's so much easier to go around them because all you have to do is look behind you to make sure there are no cars by you and then go on the other road and then back to your side of the road. They are fine if they let cars by but that one guy didn't until later on so I called him "stupid." Of course he didn't hear me because I said it in the car.

When I got closer to The Dollar Tree, there were two more bicyclists and I had to turn but there was a bicyclist behind me and I didn't want to turn and have him crash into me and get into trouble with the law so I was waiting for him to go by but he yelled "Go!"
It sounded real unfriendly and angry. But I wasn't sure if he was mad or he was shouting so I could hear him.

If you ride a bicycle, I do not mean I hate you. There were just so many today and I was stressed out about other things going on in my mind, I had to deal with pedestrians on two wheels. I can ad that about the cons here in Portland; too many bicyclists and you might end up having to deal with impatient drivers too. Very Happy

I don't drive so I have to take the bus and walk everywhere. On a regular basis I am almost run over by bicyclists who don't know the rules of the road. They ride on the sidewalk against traffic even though there is bike lane and they are supposed to ride on the right side of the road. The also cross the street between intersections. I'm sick and tired of hearing "excuse me" muttered right in my ear and being scared to death as they zip right by me! Mad

Not a car driver here, I'm an eternal pedestrian, but I often get annoyed at bicyclists myself, like CelticRose. It's really annoying when cyclists choose to take the sidewalk, or don't stop for the zebra even though they should. I wanted to crossed a zebra one time, and a cyclist nearly ran me over, and on top of that she also gave me this look like I did something wrong.

Of course, there was also this little incident I had just last week when I punched a cyclist who pushed me aside because I was walking on the cyclist part of a bridge (my mind was wandering off). I lost it, chased him and punched him in the arm. It didn't come to blows. I can usually control myself, but that time, I was just feeling a little down/angry.

Only the smug bastard cyclists who think they're better because they aren't "contributing" to this so-called "global warming".
I don't care what those greasy, thin, vegan bastards think!

Of course, mountain bikes are a bit different...

The ones that ride in the car lane, when theres a bicycle lane
next to the road, are close to becomming roadkill when i drive up
behind them. Sorry, but its just idiotic, get the hell out of the road.
In a fight between a car and a bike, the car wins every time. I`m
a very nice guy now, as a kid i tried to take them out with my car
door as i passed, they got my blood boiling so bad

I keep a yeti in my backyard.

Now, wait... that's not a dinosaur... it's not even a yeti... I think it's just a homeless guy.

Or secretly insert artificial intelligence in every bicycle, which will buck off the cyclist the moment they break the rules of the road.

I ride a bike, but I do my best to follow the rules of the road. Have had run ins with bicyclists who seem to think that rules don't apply to them. Like when one decided that the designated bike lane wasn't good enough, & so he rode in the land designated for cars. When I honked at him, he got mad at me! Shocked Wtf???? Or when there are no bike lanes & there's no where for the driver to go other than to wait for an opening to go around (curvy roads with blind corners). Just rude!

Same here. How annoying! Mad It's pointless for them to say it since they are moveing faster than people on foot. I have walked at parks and some annoying biker sometimes says "to your right" or "to your left", and I go in that way instictively only to find myself running into him. Mad It's irratating. I want to relax at the park, not deal with people.

I'm glad you brought this up! I was riding my bike on a bike path at the beach a few weeks ago. There were people walking 4 & 5 abreast, & it left no where for the bicyclists to go or anyone else. I have a bell that I use in that case. It's just as bad form for people to hog pathways no matter what form of transportation they use. On the beach paths, there are people on foot (some walking their dogs on those extended leashes & not paying attention), roller blades, bikes, skateboards, etc. It's very intimidating & overwhelming. One guy was yelling on top of his lungs while riding his bike through the crowds. Not fun! I think I'll wait until tourist season ends before heading back to the beach.
