Was just reading elsewhere that the two churches that Palin went to in Wasilla were linked in various ways to the Joel's Army Dominionist movement. Some of the more unusual features mentioned include:

The idea that Christians are called on to form Joel's Army, an armed group that is one day expected not only to defend Christians, but also to go out and forcibly convert non-Christians. This behavior was modeled in one controversial violent video game, where believers got point for converting or killing atheists.

"Shepherding," a practice where less experienced members are paired with mentors who become an intense part of their life - in some cases, this may be a perfectly innocent practice, but it has gotten intense criticism in both various branches of the Protestantism, as well as various cult-watch type groups.

Quote:
The movement gained a reputation for controlling and abusive behaviour, with a great deal of emphasis placed upon the importance of obedience to one's own shepherd. In many cases, disobeying one's shepherd was tantamount to disobeying God.

I think everyone does, but it's just dug up and emphasized according to the goals of the media in many cases. Can you imagine the kind of spin and coverage Obama would face if he turned sides?

No, but I have been banned from Wal-Mart on the pretext of making threats. I didn't though.

Is that why you dislike Wal-Mart, or did something you do in response to an already existing dislike of Wal-Mart prompt this banning?

It is the reason I dislike them. They allow the #3513 managers to get away with that junk and still be employed. The law that allows them to do this is a Minnesota state law, so it doesn't hold in other states to my knowledge. Still, they stank to work for and they stank when they threw me away too.

That sucks. I can really see why you'd hate them.

Did you threaten to picket/protest at their lot?

No, though they weren't very clear at the exit interview, I was either fired for supposedly making a bomb threat or threatening some unknown individual. It didn't help anything that I didn't know it was my exit interview and thought it was about the complaint I turned in about a couple lazy coworkers who kept increasing my workload via their laziness.

More evidence that Palin is tied into a weird cult:
