How many have you seen? Which one is your favorite? Which one has the most accurate depiction of aspies?

Not all the movies in this list have aspergers as the main theme. Some only have an aspie character.

Huh, I've never seen any movies that had anything regarding aspergers. Guess I'll have to check them out. I hope they don't depress me though.

The only one I seen was Rain Main, although I think they potrayed Dustin Hoffman as severly autistic. I loved the movie until after my diagnosis when I heard AS was under the umbrella of autism. I immediately thought of that movie Rain Man and that's when I was POed.

Now, after a little more education, I've come to appreciate that movie. But never seen one dealing with aspergers that I know of.

The only thing I've seen of those is Paprika, and that had nothing to do with Asperger's. I looked under "Plot Keywords" and it's there, but I guess anyone could put anything they like in there and no one checks it. Not a very reliable list imo.

Haven't seen any of them.

I remember there's a pilot shot for FOX called "The Oaks" or something. It was kinda like that show called "Reunion" that got cancelled quickly. They both have plots that take place over various periods of time.

"Oaks" had three connected stories, one in the '60s, one in the '80s, and the final in modern times. Some kinda drama, dunno.

But anyways, "Oaks" was to have an aspie character, Jessica, portrayed by Sienna Guillory from Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Eragon. The character is part of the 2008 plot.

Sucks ass that FOX passed on it. Had a good cast. Guillory, Jeremy Renner (SWAT, 28 Weeks Later), Bahar Soomekeh (Saw III), and others. Those are just the three I'm familiar with. Especially Renner, he was freakin great in 28 Weeks Later.

Sienna would have been great. Very beautiful and talented. I actually know someone who looks just like her, and who is probably an aspie. Maybe.

It's weird that they have the Law & Order: TBJ episode on the list, but not the Law & Order: CI episode that was almost completely devoted to Asperger's.

I've seen some of those; Mozart & the Whale sticks out the most in my head. Loved it thoroughly.

I'm not sure where they got that list but I can't really see much of an aspie connection there.

Some of those aren't actually about AS. Take Paprika. One of its characters is sorta Aspie-ish, but it never directly says he has autism, and it's not ABOUT that at all. It's a fantastic anime film though, with exceptionally awesome trippy visuals.

The Revenge of the Aspie (2010) Why am I laughing? The title sounds like a bad horror film. xDD

I just watched #35 Adam (2009). It was a really good movie in my opinion. I can relate to the main character a lot however I am certainly a higher functioning individual that the character Adam though. Some of the things he did and that happened to him made me smile which is saying something because I haven't been smiling much.

Highly recommend it.

In the Mike Judge movie "Office Space", the character 'Milton' played by Steven Root was, I think, an Aspie.

I personally would add Drive to the list, even though the word Asperger's is never uttered.

No Star Trek?

I remember the guy from The Amazing Race. I didn't notice anything weird about him other than him looking like Elmer Fudd and speaking with a high-pitched voice.
