I was just wondering do any of you or have once had problems with certain movement skills? Like have there ever been any cases where you have limped, have not catched a ball very well, or like still don't understand certain games like rock paper scissors or whatever? And have never had the ability to skateboard, tie shoelaces, or use a hoolahoop?

Am I alone? Or have some of you had similar problems when you were younger? Some of these problems I have somewhat overcomed.

I have Hypermobility (lax joints.) It's very painful, and it means I can't run, or walk for a long period of time.

I've gotten better, but I used to be pretty clumsy as a child.
Poor hand-eye coordination, always knocking things over and bumping into everything (and everyone!)

So when you say that you walk weird do you like walk either too slow or fast or do you actually walk in an inaccurate gait?

Yeah I remember one time when we were camping my brother who is 3 years younger than me even taught me how to accurately throw a frisbee, I felt like such a loser.

Oh yeah and I never really had any difficulties with timing on video game controllers but when I first tried guitar hero which was like last year maybe my timing in terms of hitting the buttons was totally off, that I failed each try on that game very quickly, but I got better at that quickly though.

Once of my legs stays straght and only bends a bit.

It's not a big of a deal unless I suddenly need to slow down.

I lack hand-eye coordination, such as catching, swinging a bat, amongst other things.

But that's about it.

It improves by age. I used to not be able to catch a simple 3 yd pass..

Woah! I just learned to tie my shoes and I'm 13! I don't do binder check because of my problems.

I have some of those similar problems except for the fact that I can ride a bike.

I used to be extremely clumsy, and whilst that has improved now I still am not quite as co-ordinated as my friends, escept where game controllers are concerned Very Happy

I suck at all sports, I can't throw things well, I didn't learn to tie my shoe laces until I was 12, and I sometimes walk kind of funny.

Most autistics have coordination difficulties because most of us have dyspraxic tendencies (About 90%)
I actually have dyspraxia on top of my aspergers and they share quite a few symptoms.

I only learnt shoelaces last year.
