Whats your IQ? I am seriously curious, but I am not making this thread so it can be "OMG IM SMARTER THAN YOU". I really dont care as theirs always someone smarter than you in this world so dont get to confident even if you are on the really high end of the scale. Also I read the rules and didnt see anything against this so I thought it would be interesting.

Not entirely sure. I haven't done one in the last year or so. I think I got 128 last time I did a proper one.

(note: this was 2 marks off the maximum possible in my age range.)

163-167, depending.

I suppose it's alright, but I'm not that bloody smart...

Wow 160+ is pretty rare and impressive. Mine right now is in the 132-140 Range, last test I took it was 132, it went down 8 points but I suppose it was because of my lack of sleep the day of the test (staying up tell 2am then waking up at 8 doesn't work well) made the test more challenging, besides its subject to change, when I was kid I scored much higher. Of course IQ doesnt mean a thing if you dont apply it.

I've consistently tested within one point of 140 since I was in middle school. However, I took an online IQ test a few weeks ago and tested 160. I think the moral here is that some of the tests you find online are designed to flatter the takers, so make sure you're taking a valid test before you put too much confidence in the results.

Ive taken online ones, there completely bogus for all Im concerned, Ive scored as low at 70 (I didnt think I was that mentally impaired...) and scored as high as 180 in which the stupid test starts blinking and going "OMGz YOUR A GENIUS" and I think to myself how stupid and implausible it is. My mom works with children with all sorts of disorders and sometimes they get bored and use me as a test subject (I even get payed sometimes! lol) so I have been tested by a valid test.

I should mention those results were from I was like, 15 or 16. The proctor was all giddy that he'd found some sort of prodigy... meh.

online tests are not acurate at all, i scored 210 on one of them, and i had skipped like 6 questions

when i did my test i hadnt slept in 2 days, and it was in english (my mother tongue is french) that is the one that said i was more inteligent than 86% of people, that is also the one they used to diagnose me, it covers all the spere of inteligence, so for exemple, even if a person has no schooling, they would be scored pretty acurately, as for the ones you find on the internet the more school you have the better the score, so if you are a genius farmer that never went to school, it would rank you as a moron, even if you are the smarter farmer on earth

Exactly. Those online tests really dont prove much more example knowing the square root of 144 doesnt make you a genius (lol) And I suck at math so yeah..

I took the WISC3 when I was 7, and capped it out at 155. Its the highest Ive scored. Ive since scored anywhere from 128 (theres a funny story behind that one) to 149. My later scores have no apparent correlation with age.

I took one test when I was 9, I dont remember the name of it, but it was average 500 standard deviation 100, and I scored a 900 something.

At least one proctor of the test was surprised at how 'low' I scored.

For what Its worth I got a 35 ACT.

Fun part is that I cant figure out if I test smarter then I really am or if I am smarter then I test.

Either way I agree that IQ tests are typically only accurate to within 1 or 2 standard deviations.

Im pretty sure thats the test I took, I remember seeing that at the top when my mom got it back, my mom wouldn't tell me my IQ for a long time for some reason which made me feel like I was stupid until she showed me the results. Kinda random but my baby sister (shes 2 right now) scored 120! Everyone at my moms work is so impressed by her! She does all this stuff that would wouldn't expect at that age!

I scored 163 on Mensa's proctored test - for what it's worth. (Hint: That and five bucks will buy you a decent mocchiato at any Starbuck's in the country.)
