Help me people. I need to get inspired! I'm worrying about college applications in 10-ish months and I'm relying entirely on my portfolio, which, frankly, sucks right now. It's drawings, paintings, anything 2-d.
I need some help with finding something to create! Any ideas, or any suggestions on how to come up with ideas? Lately my work has been a little bit stale, so I'm begging you all: HELP ME! |

What do you like to draw? Anything that you don't? Perhaps you could challenge yourself to find something redeamable or a new way to portray something that you normaly wouldn't think of drawing? _________________ An Ugly Bag of Mostly Water |

Go out into the world, my child, and start taking pictures with thine camera (hopefully you have a digital). Therein shalt thou findeth thine inspiration. From life. _________________ Autism Speaks: The Walmart of the 501c's.

Prepare... very, soon... That is the best thing you can do to make yourself feel better at this point. _________________ Jason Larsen

that sounds pretty cool! i'll have to try it when it's not 20 degrees and snowy.
thank you so much everyone! i've been working really hard and have come up with some random but awesome drawings. I'm also applying to the Art All-States here so I hope it goes well! it's been really helpful. thank you |

I listen to music. For some reason, I can't write (yes, write- that is my creative thing unless you count the crap that happend why I TRY to draw) when I'm listening to my ABSOLUTE favortie music, most of the time. I'd reccommend http://www.launch.yahoo.com and making your own radio station if you have an account there. If you rate songs it can learn what you like and play stuff you didn't know you'd liek but you do. Maybe you'll hear something you want to illustrate? |
