If I ever got a purse, it would have to be the size of a small U-Haul truck. I also believe in that motto.

Wallet
Checkbook
coin pouch
Cellphone
Car keys
Tide 2 Go pen, for removing food or drink stains
tin of lip balm
tampons
hand sanitizer, only used if the public bathroom I visit is out of soap
breath spray
Altoids
lip gloss
Excedrin Migraine pills, just in case I get a migraine

I really like to travel light, so my laundry list has gotten shorter.

name tag
pen
3x5 note pad
keys
coins
wallet
pocket watch

At work I have to carry around a Toughbook. It's a laptop originally designed for the military. $3,000 and very cool.

I thought I was bad, but I've got nothing on some of you. How many phones do you need, Cybrludite? And your neckwear seems comparable to Mr. T.

I have to carry my work phone, and I'm not supposed to use it for personal stuff. The neckwear isn't as bad as all that. A bunch of stuff clipped to my ID card holder, and one thumb drive on its own cord are all that's visible.

I'm a girl but I prefer pockets to purse.
This is all I carry:
Tissues
Handkerchief
Cell phone
Coin purse
Loose money
Guitar pick
Sometimes a piece of candy

And in my backpack:
Pocket Guía T (map book from heaven: it has maps for all the city plus all the subways, trains and buses).
Keys
Daily planner
Sometimes I used to carry a pack of cookies or crackers

I've got a large backpack - people often ask: what's a little girl like you doing with such a big backpack? Or: do you bring you backpack every where?
I need it, I need the stuff inside - maybe.
Contents:

A bottle of water
tissue
wallet
phone
mints and/or chewinggum
bisquets
pills for my headaches
plastic bag
cloth bag
scarf (if I get cold)
pads
sunglasses
sometimes reading glasses
pens
bus schedule plan
keys

This is the minimum I carry. I wish I could learn to travel light.

ok when i was back in high school i think i had HEAVIEST bookbag. i had was

pencils

candy

lunch

subject textbooks

notebooks

2 school library books(it seemed that home repair book was heaviest of all in the schools library)

my coat

door closer used for handwriting(last 7 weeks of school)

POCKETS

money i find on floor in halls

candy

more pencils

NECK

about 8 lanyards tied together

rubber bands

school photo id card.

BODY

sweat shirt

blue jeans

steel tip boots

2 vests worn over sweatshirt and i wasnt hot

all of this all at once made me look like i was about to treck mount everest Laughing

i weighed about 98 lbs and bookbag was about 30-40 lbs(about same weight as one of them backpack blowers used by landscapers) im just surprized the bottom didnt break away.

any hravier i think i would have needed a handtruck or a powerchair to carry everything.(no im not aralyzed but would have been conveiant to use a joystick control instead of walk and get tired)

no i didnt use locker because of an incedent in middle school(some dingdong broke into it and took my shirt and bookbag)

i always used to have alot of stuff in my pockets...

pens
pencils
candy
compasses
coins
nuts and bolts
allen key
house jeys
wallet
pieces of wool
gloves
drum key (for tuning the drums)
severl handy bits for the drum kit ie washers cymbal felts and moon gel
also when i was at shcool bullies used to take my drumsticks out of my bag and then hit me with them so i learnt to buy a coat with large enough inside pocket to fit in 2 pairs of drumsticks

my backpack had all my school books in... i never used to bother to tke different ones out and in each day because id always end up forgetting, so i just kept them all in there

text books
jumper of my uniform if too hot
school tie... i enver used to like wering it so i used to take it nd carry it in my bag when if i ever neeeded to see the head teacher for anything id put it on... then remove it again afterwards
.... teachers thought i was a trouble maker at school... but i was only kickin off after somebody did something to me first.

I don't usually carry HALF of what you guys do on a regular basis, but I have my days. Especially if I'm going out for the day, I'd hate to forget something I think I'll want later.

In my work smock (button up short-sleeve shirt w/ 3 pockets) I currently keep the following:
- hand sanitizer
- 3 pens
- green Sharpie marker
- IceBreakers sour candy
- IceBreakers spearmint gum
- box cutter / utility knife

If I'm going to hang out somewhere with friends, I usually put a lot more than necessary in my backpack:
- camera
- pen(s)
- hacky sack (I have two)
- pocket-sized Bible
- sweatshirt/jacket
- sunglasses - if not wearing them
- cap
- keys/wallet/cellphone - if not in my pockets
- book
- CD player/headphones/CD carrier
- "sanitary napkin" just in case Embarassed
- water bottle
- gum/candy

I carry a bookbag instead of a purse since a purse would just be too little for what torture I'd put it through. Laughing

-ink pens
-gloves(during winter)
-cash
-debit card
-bus schedules
-U.S. passport
-Aleve(just in case..)
-tampons(lord help if I need it and don't have it)
-house keys
-mother's work, cell and landline phone numbers
-business cards
-CD player(currently broke so must buy a new one)
-CDs for the CD player
-tissue
-cell phone(no longer in service but used as time piece)
-jacket
-umbrella(especially around November when it rains all the time)
-my work hat
-comb
-nasal spray
