For me personally I just get too nervous and over think things too much. Also the fact that I've had very few female friends/girlfriends at any point in my life makes it a bit harder as well. I also find it difficult to express my feelings as it makes me feel vulnerable to an extent. I know the topic said one reason but oh well!

I suck, and I think I smell. :/ Not all the time, but sometimes I don't realize it after a run or something. I am beginning to despise showers. And they closed the hot tub so I can't even use chlorine to cover it up anymore.

I guess the obsession has took too much time off getting the opportunities of someone to find you. I mean girls to find a guy, in more appropriate way.
The more you go out, is the more your flexibility of meeting someone. Think of being a tourist, go on tours and training and that etc. Or on cruise boat, snorkelling at the reef for few days, that bring potential. But prepare the luck.
For my case, uni/college has took me down fairly. Always in my room doing the work, still socialize with people in outside world, but yet still lack of opportunities. My lifestyle is very different compared to most colleges people. |

Settling for someone I don't like would be far more problematic than trying to find the perfect mate. Never mind that such a relationship would not benefit anyone. I've focused on jumping through hoops for others for so long that I've lost sight of what I really deserve. Much better than living in a world where you try to list reasons why you're not good enough for someone.
