Hi Randomtask, welcome to Wrong Planet. I'm from the Central Belt. I've only stopped off in the Borders once – to attend a BAAGS (Borders and Aspergers Support Group) seminar in Selkirk.

Hi Randomtask. I've only been to the Borders once as well, apart from the times travelling through it on the train.I drove via Moffat
to visit The Grey Mare's Tail *. Spectacular scenery but a scary drive !

* note - in case any readers are wondering,The Grey Mare's Tail is a 200 ft waterfall (not a pub Smile )

Randomtask, I hope the diagnosais helps sorts some things out for you.

Do any of the big autism charities, that is NAS, Scottish Autism or Autism Initiatves, provide any sort of late diagnosis Asperger's induction course in your area? This is a short information and perswonal orientation course for adults recently diagnosed with the condition. You are living in a specific area covererd by Scottish Autism though their Lothian and Borders ARC is located in Musselburgh which is miles away from Jedburgh.

I'm a friend of Randomtask's, and live in the same town with my partner who is also AS. I've certainly not heard of anything like that. The only thing in our area seems to be BAAGS, and judging from the website, they're focused on AS kids and supporting thier families, not late diagnosis adults like us. At least the three of us have each other, so it could be worse- we're kinda our own support group. Smile
