Exactly. Eugenics is just another word for selective or controlled breeding of plants and animals. Almost the entire population of dogs are the result of selective breeding. Also true of other mammalian species. Charles Darwin got his notion of Natural Selection from plant, bird and animal breeders and their practices. He took up bird breeding himself.

| This is true, but I meant that in regard to humans. Eugenics is alive and well, we just don't call it that. We frame it in egalitarian/liberal terms and save the word "eugenics" for activities we aren't currently engaging in. |

My friend, who is also daughter's Godfather, had told me how his first love was a Korean American girl. When he finally had met her mother, the mother's response was, "He's too white; find a nice Korean boy." He never got over that, and when she finally moved with her family, my friend didn't follow - and he's regretted it since.
