You generalized really far. I do not like raspberries, so no one should ever eat them. Cake is not very healthy and I do not like it so others should not eat it. | This. I take exception to such a broad generalization in the thread title. I'm sorry you have your digestive issues, I really am. My So can't eat dairy and we have been shocked to find how many foods that are supposedly non-dairy have whey or casein as additives.
But I came here thinking there was some news about contamination or something. I eat oatmeal every day. It's good for me, just not good for you. Please in future try not to be so sensational about food that other people have no problem with. |

Porridge is very good for you you can eat at least two bowls of it and it will feel you up and make you not hungry for a long time too. |

It makes me feel good to, calms me down for some reason. Think it's the comfort food aspect but seems to work. Would really stress if I couldn't have it. |

I'm vegetarian, lol. But porridge and soya milk (not at the same time) seem to work pretty well . |

I took 100 grams of solid grains (kellogs), the next 1, 2 hours were not too bad compare too oats, meybe a certain unawareness. 5 hours later, i feel overheating in my head like fever, i feel lifeless, particularly my look. And a certain exhaustion. My reasoning is good and I feel no mental confusion.
Previously i followed a vegan diet without gluten (except 16g of a loaf 10 hours before), and without milk, last 72 hours.
I relapsed
Again, i'm in good conditions to see the effects of that foods on me. Before i used to eat that, i was in the state i described above, but i was accommodate to it.
So, I would strongly advise you to test to see if there are a difference on you even if i know it's not easy to change his habits.
Best regards,
Ilan |

| Ok, on the oats bit, if they weren't gluten free oats, I will just about guarantee that cross contamination was the problem. Not the actual oats. At christmas I had a cross contaminated oatmeal cookie and it was a near immediate effect, crying, stomach cramps, eczema breaking out all over... but a few weeks ago I ate 5 decent sized gluten free oatmeal cookies with absolutely no issue. My second point is, obviously everyone is different, but i've done quite a bit of elimination diet testing, and I generally need 2 weeks between trials to be able to clearly tell which food is responsible for any changes. Ie, test one food, if there's a reaction, eliminate it and the next one I want to test if it wasn't already eliminated, wait two weeks, then reintroduce new test food. If there's no reaction, I would still suggest waiting at least 48 hours before testing the next food incase there's a delayed reaction. |

| I'm also sensible to chestnut flour or to cornstarch, both or one of the two. I don't know why. |
