OK so Guys this question is for you. As you see women come in all shapes and sizes, but if you had two chose between two specific type body shapes, which would you prefer: Slightly underweight women or Curvy/slightly overweight?

If you don't know exactly what underweight or curvy might look like I'll give an example of both below (Though i can't really know for sure if these women actually do fit under the "category", since i don't know their actual weight - but it is said *speculated* about that these women either are underweight or "leaning" towards the slightly overweight side.)

Slightly underweight / Underweight:

Curvy / Slightly overweight:

And be honest guys, don't sugar coat the truth.

PS: If any women/girls want to answer what type of men they would prefer to that's also fine.

since I like both guys and girls, can I answer about the girls?

I prefer curvy women, sexually speaking. I am sorry to hate on the skinny people ( :( ) but I can't help not liking skinny body type in women.

With men it used to be that I preferred the skinny, nerdy type when I was younger but as I've grown older I tend to prefer the broader types. Obviously it helps if there is a fair amount of muscle tone going on, but I don't mind a bit of a tummy, it can be quite cute.

 Sorry i didn't write that above, so I'll add here:

Bi, gay etc. can of course also answer, just answer the question how it's suitable for you.

I am slim myself, so I prefer slim to kinda-curvy but not the overweight curvy like those shown in the post. at least the first 3 of them.

What a pointless thread - half of these are made up by marketers.

I can't say either of those options have great figures in all honesty.

These are women whose figures I think look fine. How would you classify their physiques?

Slightly over: thumbs up.

Underweight: thumbs down.

Like a range of ladies from slender to curvy.

But that anorexic insect-like look is as atleast as distasteful as truly obese, if not worse.

Sad, but true - this is what today's society/media does to young women.

And, no, there's nothing wrong with being naturally skinny, slender, slim, whatever you want to call it.

What's wrong is when society (via the media and pop culture) makes it shameful to be larger than a size 2. People come in all shapes and sizes, and what makes a woman beautiful (or not) should have very little to do with the shape of her body.

The prevalence of overweight in adolescents ages 12–19 increased from 6.1 in 1971–74 to 18.4 percent in 2009–10. (US)

3.3% of children and teens, ages 2 to 19, were underweight in 2006, down from 5.1% in 1974. (US)

If the media is doing such a good job shaming being overweight, how do you explain these numbers?

Underweight girls are rare in the real world.

I'm tired of the skinny bashing. Try being size 1 and shop for pants then have women giving you an attitude as if because you are naturally thin, you are doing something wrong by just merely being there.

If women want to make any progress, bashing each other isn't the solution and self hating while putting other women down isn't going to do much for you.

Those women were not slightly underweight...

Women get a grip and stop bashing each other.

Curvy means hourglass shaped and has little to do with fat levels. To answer you question: I could date women from 18% bodyfat up to 35% bodyfat. Fat levels are not set in stone, and as long as it doesn't go to far either way, I couldn't really care less. How the fat is distributed is more important.

May I repeat: People come in all shapes and sizes, and what makes a woman (or man) beautiful (or not) should have very little to do with the shape of her (his) body.

"Normal" should be anything but anorexic or morbidly obese, and should include everything in between. Some men prefer skinny women, some men prefer fat women. There are whole websites devoted to "Big & Beautiful" dating.

On average, I think most people have bought into the idea that if you're showing a bulge or even a hint of cellulite, you're "too fat." "Too skinny" I think has to be more extreme before it gets thought to be unattractive.

If you're naturally skinny, rejoice! Most women gain weight as they age, so you've got a better starting place, assuming your goal is to never be fat. If you'd prefer to be plump, well, you have my condolences - it's just as hard to fight a too-fast metabolism as it is to fight a too-slow one. Also rejoice because you have the media on your side - they hold you up as the ultimate standard of feminine beauty, and many models literally starve themselves to achieve that standard. You can further rejoice in that well over half of the men's profiles on any dating site openly state that they "prefer slender/petite women." You see maybe one in 200 or 300 that specifically say they "like curvy women."

My beef is with women who starve themselves to maintain an unrealistic weight/body shape. I've known plenty of women who were "Big & Beautiful" and were perfectly healthy. Go with what god/nature/genetics gave you, embrace it, and love yourself for you naturally are.

Do you have beef with obese women as well? Or you just hate anorexic women more. If so, why?

Actually, genetics have very little to say for overall fat levels. Everyone has a basal metabolic rate required to keep the body temperature at the right levels.
