I'll help anyone here get any star they can't find. Just tell me what star you can't find and I'll give you all the steps necessary to obtain the star.
Or if you don't know how to get a star, e.g- Can't defeat a particular boss, say so here and I'll help.
Could moderators sticky this for me please? Thanks.

Only for a while. If there's no demand for a while for Super Mario Galaxy hints, I'll unsticky it.
I already have such a sticky, but for console games in general.

At the beginning of battle, Bowser will be trying to hurt you every so often. At any moment when he jumps up high, he's going to try and crush you. If you are standing on a blue circle panel, that's good. But when Bowser is about to try and stomp you, run off the blue circle panel. Bowser should then be hurt from his tail catching fire. Do the spin attack close to Bowser's tail when this is happening. Then Bowser will be spinning around on his back. Do the spin attack again. You've hurt him. Do this enough times to win the battle. Remember that the battle can get harder. If you need any more help, post a reply in this thread. Thanks.

The Stage Really only has 150 coins in it so dont worry about getting all of them but when your done collectin 100 make sure you have a path to get back cause the star appears right were you started I Beat The game in 21 hours it was easy for me

It's a matter of picking the right path to grab as many coins as possible.
I work my way clockwise around the level, grabbing every loose coin I can get. I go to the far right (from where you start), and then jump the dark matter pits to grab my last coins. Getting back to the star is easy so long as you leave yourself a return path. |

I don't need help with a particular star, but I was wondering about something.
I've now got 61 stars and I'm ready to go to the centre of the universe to see Peach. But there was something I wasn't sure about. Am I supposed to go to the centre of the universe now, or should I do that once I've got all the other stars? I don't want to end up completing the game with only 60 stars - I want to complete it with the full 120.

Wow, I was just about to go to another website for help with Super Mario Galaxy. I would've never thought to look here!
I'm at the very beginning of the game and I have no clue how to beat the baby plant/monster thing (this is the first true Mario game I've played). It runs so fast I can't even attack it in time...  |

| You need to run around behind it and attack the ball on it's tail. I find the best way to do that is if it's going too fast, run around the planet until you catch up with him. Run perpendicular to him and run around him, or run parallel to him until you catch up. |
