Have any of you had days where you would tend to forget that you have a disability in the first place? I have those days all the time, especially when I'm in college. It seems rather peaceful, I must say. Any thoughts on this?

At work, where I am in my comfort zone, I don't see myself as having any kind of disability or difference. I am in a position of strength.

I can definitely relate to that. Now unemployed, I find myself starting to be depressed, frequently. I need a job!

There are days that I forget, that I have AS. I guess it's because I don't think about it, all the time.

I agree, when I at work and concentrating on something, I have no thoughts about whatsoever. But when I chat with my supervisor, I'm self-conscious again ....

I sometimes forget, yet it is becoming easy for me to identify a situation before it starts.

I usually don't think about it unless someone else or myself notices that I do some kind of major social faux pax...then all I can think about is calling myself an idiot lol.
Never the less, my mother ALWAYS likes to remind me that i'm "different" by pointing out little things that I do. Doesn't make my days any easy and i'd rather just get on with it.

No. My ""problem"" affects all areas of my life and I try not to forget about it, so I can be hyper-vigilant.

Your avatar makes it pretty much impossible for me to forget. I literally read your words in his voice and inflection.
