I'm so stressed out, I have all these projects due, and I just can't finish them. It's a tough deadline to begin with, but I can't focus well either (when I'm REALLY depressed like I have been lately), and I'm been freaking out most of the time during homework, so nothing's getting done and I can't help it!

Just try doing something fun it really does help it go by easier, maybe lie down with a pet and do it slowly thats good too just relax and take your time try not to rush it too much and stay calm.

Luckily I'm not panicking anymore, just really frustrated since I can't sleep!

Ebec I know what you mean. I get exhausted too. I think what did me in is putting projects off until the last minute and then I got overwhelmed. You might want to try something physically active even though that sounds cliche. It helps with anxiety and sleep depravation. I have problems with that and moving around seems to work with me. Also music or something that relaxes you haven't already. Try not to think about it right now. That's all the feedback I can give. I've always had problems meeting deadlines.

I think I'm always too honest

I just made a small whiteboard to help me focus. I found it helps me to have things written down.

I can't do much exercise due to my low blood pressure (run = faint)
I'm getting stuff done, but it's at the sarcific of my sanity. Luckily I'm getting an extension or two to help me out.
I just hope that I don't give myself a heart attack with the constant stress...

I don't have much else to add, everyone has already said most of what I was going to. The only thing I have left is that you could put in a movie that you like while you work. It's always helped me.

It's good that you are making the progress that you are, I'm proud of you. Razz

I just completed the toughest semester for projects - and I have anxiety and all that stuff and a whole load of sh** was dumped on me at the same time. Take breaks - only spend an hour on projects and then just do something else, whatever helps to unwind. Maybe do another hour before hitting bed. Really, the projects don't involve much time. I know the 15-page paper for marketing didn't really take all that long and the more relaxing job of editing was much easier. Just write it out and then edit. IT's not going to be perfect the first time through anyways.

I know EXACTLY how you feel with the stress of projects. I just finished my semester and I have to say I feel for ya. I had papers to write, a resume to make, all for one class, while I had to print out 20 photographs (the old fashioned way) for my art class. Also I had to do exams, I had waited so long it all came down on me like a falling brick wall. But it eventually passed, and I passed my classes (barely).

I hate to say this, but, from my experience, your depression........... is from the stress of those projects!!!! Was with me at least. It's EVIL. You can't work due to depression, and are depressed cause ya can't work. I would suggest doing a fun project on the side (writing a story) to get you mind pumped, occupied with some enjoyment, and ready to work. Or, do something fun while you make a mental outline of the work, get done with the fun, and race to get done with it. They always get easier as ya do em. Otherwise, find a friend online, start a chat session, and have them toss ideas at ya on what to do. Just my two cents to add.

There is a certain Eric Idle song that comes to mind.... from about halfway or so through Monty Python's The Meaning of Life.

I'm sure you know which one I'm talking about.
It is difficult to be stressed about things when you step back and consider how completely unimportant my life and surroundings are. Doesn't really matter in the long run whether things get finished on time or not...
No point getting all angsty over it.

*hugs ebec11*

There there, it'll be okay. I don't know what else is bothering you but don't worry about those projects. Just concentrate on feeling better.
