I'm more annoyed by irrelevant forwards... uplifting stories, "send this to all the moms you know", jokes, whatever. if I actually ever forward something to someone, I delete all the extraneous junk and notes and write a forward explaining why I'm forwarding it.

oh gawd, YES. i was gonna say this but you did for me. i call it "O-mail", because it always seems like the Oprah crowd that do this kind of crap; middle-aged female coworkers, etc. shaddap! i don't care about your effing "you know you're a mom when" list!

I think what I find annoying about it...

1. I have friends and family who send me more of those than real messages from themselves. I almost think they believe sending me that forward is socially good enough to be like, I'm thinking about you and wanted to say hi.

2. I get enough junk mail from other sources that delete isn't so easy. I get probably 25 emails a day that i delete. Why is there so much? Because when I started to get junk mail, I actually requested to stop receiving the mail, and then I get double coming back at me everytime. Yeah, it's law that they offer it, but whose really going to enforce how the link really works?

YES. And the senders should realize that after a while, I just start deleting ALL their stuff, automatically thinking it's just going to be more SPAM.

That's exactly what I do. Some people I've blocked because all they ever do is send me spam.
Also sometimes I get chain emails from email addresses that I don't even know, so I suppose that they are just entering random ones to fill up the X amount of people that they supposedly have to send it to.

I just delete 'em. The ones that have the title that says: "Send this to 30 people and you'll know who ur crush iz its scary accurate!" Or the ones about the little girl who died at midnight on some day in 1930, and her ghost will get you.

They're really annoying. I see them on a lot of YouTube videos. There's no need for them.
