Interesting oxymoron... they call themselves, "autism speaks," then don't allow autistics to speak! Imagine, not having autistics on the board... they are surely breaking equal opportunity laws with their policy of excluding autistic adults from decision making in the organisation?

Autism Quacks topic

All the good they do could fit on the head of a pin. I suppose that is better than nothing.

Sometimes my NT children drive me crazy, with all their wanting to socialize, conform to the herd mentality, their linear lives, fashion fascism.

I met an autistic child the other day who settled right down when she was with me and played with the huge wad of keys I wear on my belt for half and hour. We sat and did some non verbal stuff. She is usually ansty and destructive, according to her mother. With me, great. I wish she was mine. I would never give away any of my kids, but I wish I had one more like me. :D

Sometimes the Auties gotta help the Auties. :D
