Nah, I HATE just staying in the house. I have a small apt. so it drives me nuts. I go to work and run errands but, on the weekends, I tend to stay in. After about a month of not going out on the weekends I'm done. I feel a need to socialize now more than when I was younger.

I wish I actually did live in a fortified bunker. When I get a place of my own. my basement will contain my private room (the kids can have a fun room). I am obsessed with "com" center. If I were to have an apartment I hope I get the corner one that the end of the hall. Or hell Darth Vaders shell. Or a little stone vault-house in Iron Forge. I explore the town, and just walk into this guys house, and into his bedroom. Which was at a lower level, with a little fire place. This would be PERFECT for me.

When Farmville was popular, I had a little corner where my house was, surrounded by a thick wall of fruit trees as well fruit trees bordering the edges of my farm.

well i guess i am technically a recluse after 2 years of unemployment. i used to live with all my friends in a big city in one house, loads of fun, but i literally despised my job. When i got laid off i did everything to never go back into the industry. Then I got hooked on unemployment, and unlimited vacation. After three years of hell at a job i hated, I was now enabled to do whatever I want. Well unemployment and the severance took me so far, so the next step was get a job, or take another year of time off and move back home. How easily I got sucked in, and ended up moving back home in with my parent, and no bills. Not guna lie, i've loved the time off, and i half regret leaving. Because now its like going out to get a job is the most daunting idea for me. But no more benefits left. Lots of money saved. Still no direction. Honestly I feel like the world is kind of a sham. Its like whats worth stressing out over for money out there for.

I think my friends think im crazy now. But looking back at when i was working, that's when i was really crazy.

I do not literally never leave the house. I go to college, but when I am not at college or riding the bus to and from college I am at home. =[

I have always had a job so never the luxury of not going out at all. That said, I went for years with just work and home and bare essentials (like grocery store) and I liked that just fine. The problem is that even though it is "easier" on one level to go "dark" like this, it also results in depression or other unhealthy behaviors (like forgetting to bathe and eat and sleep correctly) I have learned in this life that the less I go out the harder it is for me to get out. As such I make a point to get OUT and into town at some event at least 1-2 times a week outside of work. Right now I am playing on a football team and get out even more than that but I have to retire from that after this season as it is just too much. Still, I will make sure to stay connect via some club or group or activity and try to stay healthier.

Yes, me - I'm almost like a hikikomori (I, of course, leave my room normally), it's just like that I don't have a job since I graduated so I have no place to go outside (I hope I'll manage to publish some works which will make me wealthy and famous, anyway one day I'll leave Poland to live on my own). I am sure I left the flat maybe, I don't know, like 3-4 times this year? The last time was last week to go to a doctor to have some pills prescribed by her.

I'm out of the house for around 9 hours per week.
That's quite enough, but now the weather's improving I want to get out and about with the camera.

I leave the house when I need to buy something or go to an appointment or make the once a month (if I'm lucky) journey to the city.

I am furious with shrinks for bullying me, sending me 'to Coventry' 'because if you talk to her, it's her 'pay off and keeps her indoors' - well F them. I hate going out, I hate socialising, I cannot abide lies, sales and all business. They are all lying scum and I do not want to be a part of a lying world.
I have PTSD, dx'd as Dyslexic. I hate people because they con me, they lie to me, they have beaten me up and most of all, they disrespect me, I hate them to the core of my being, give me a cat or a dog anytime over humans, I have not been out for ten years and I will NEVER GO OUT AGAIN

I would never leave the house if I could get away within. Sadly, I cannot.

I'm not sure if this is completely different because I'm sixteen but I am the same as you. There can be LITERALLY WEEKS where I won't even open a window let alone go out the front door. I used to go for hair cuts but because I'm a girl I just don't go anymore. Usually I talk to the TV or furniture or my cats or dog.. But I've also gotten to be really good at using my incredibly vivid imagination to create characters and friends to talk to. I only live with my mum (my sister and dad live across the country) but I even avoid talking to her for most of the day. I do have two friends but one lives 200km away so we only get talk on the phone about once or twice a fortnight and the other lives close but we only text each other every month maybe.... Idk if that's actually better or worse... Or really what better and worse ARE but idk I just can't sleep atm

I feel like I was like that for many years, in my teens and early 20's mostly, deeply regret that a lot

I love to go outside and explore. But still sometimes it takes a lot of prompting to get me out the door.
