I understand. I get energetic and restless in the evenings. milk, breathing exercises, and cooling my body seem to help me relax. (01:00)

I need to mentally beat my brain to a pulp if I'm to be able to sleep. If I don't go to bed exhausted I'll get a power rush and I can count on 4-5 hours of intense creative/problem thinking while I lie there cursing softly into the night.

I NEVER could make myself fall alseep if I wasn't tired. I would try to explain to my parents as young as four and they would say "Well, GET tired!" or "MAKE yourself get tired!" but in order to "make" myself tired I couldn't just lie in bed I had to be actualy doing something. I once heard that a person needs to be able to concentraite in order to make themselves fall alseep but my parents think that is BS. They would also tell me that if I just laied there in bed I would eventaly get tired and fall alseep but I would lie in bed until five in the morning and NEVER fall alseep until noon. I would be exhausted the next morning from trying to fall alseep. I would try to stay awake so I could sleep good the next night but I would either collapse or get over it and not be tired at all the next night. I usually got sick and had to go back to sleep anyway. I think I am biologicaly built to be nocternal. I've always felt more "alive" at nighttime. I figure I will just end up working the graveyard shift somewhere.
