But is there a way for the boogers to pass from the trachea pathway into the esophagus pathway?

That I'm not sure about. I can't consciously change the path that something takes on its way into my body though....which tract is goes down. I'm assuming it's not possible to control. I mean a doctor with tubes trying to intervene and control it could but I don't think I;d be possible for a person to do it themselves. Interesting to ponder though. :)

I think there is some flap that separates the esophagus and trachea pathways? Maybe with strong vacuum, the flap could get blown open, and the boogers could get sucked down the esophagus.

It's called post nasal drip. You can suck into your throat and swallow it.

I think I've sucked boogers into my stomach through my nose, then vomited them up before.

inhaling the nasties from your nose [to where they end up back in the lungs or upper sinus passageways] is a recipe for bronchitis/lung infection/sinusitis/sinus infection.

That is a good choice too. Ice cream with boogers in it, made from snot. I used to wanna make toenail soup, but no one would gimme their toenails for it.

I had heard somewhere (I forget where) that for your sinus health, it's actually better to snort the gunk and swallow it, than to blow your nose, because blowing can push the ick back into the sinuses. I get sinus infections like clockwork twice a year. Spring - tree pollen; fall - ragweed season. The post nasal drip becomes something awful. I hope I'm not at risk for a lung or bronchial infection from it!

Post nasal drip trickles back into your throat. Just snort and swallow and wash it down with toenail soup.

I used to get them once or twice per year [upon pollen seasons/heating season] until I changed to a low-acidic diet, then they went away like magic!

What's a low-acidic diet?

My allergies improved for the first few months of a low-carb diet. No idea why.

that is one way to accomplish a low-acidic diet. just avoid white food [refined carbs, starchy things in general, sweet things like rolls and candy and deserts and such]. regular physical exercise is also a must, outdoors in fresh air [away from city smog and woodsmoke], that improves the motility of your cilia in your lungs and helps with proper sinus drainage.
