I think if I heard a loud crack, I would be very afraid that I broke something.

A majority of people are below. But there are a few that go above. I assume that those who are above are used to it.

I have been known to sneeze, burp and fart all at the same time. so I am living proof that it is an old wives' tale that if one does that, that they will explode.

Pick, Pick, Pick...Too bad cats can't pick their noses. Do cats need to pick their noses?

It is snorting. I didn't want to say it that way because some people might relate that to drug use.

They really should show a human nose picking at the end to show a complete array of primate nose picking.

I can feel anything on the inside of my nostrils and it drives me insane.

I want it gone.

It's not that I have any particular interest in whatever it may be that's against the inside of my nostril. I don't eat boogers.

But I don't want anything against the inside of my nostrils.

What happens when you try to suck the boogers farther into your nose like a vacuum? Is there a way for them to go into the stomach, like you have eaten them?

No I think they go into our bronchial tubes and then to our lungs like the air we breathe when we sniff instead of taking the route through the esophagus to the stomach like the food we eat. As a kid I was lazy and would sniff back my snot too much instead of blowing my nose-my doctor told me not to do this because in the long run it could lead to bronchitis or pneumonia (the build-up of mucus in bronchial tubes or lungs). If you sniff a normal amount this won't happen but always sniffing and never blowing your nose is bad for this reason.

But is there a way for the boogers to pass from the trachea pathway into the esophagus pathway? I know that the other way around is not good, like food into the lungs, but boogers or snot into the stomach is less harmful.

That I'm not sure about. I can't consciously change the path that something takes on its way into my body though....which tract is goes down. I'm assuming it's not possible to control. I mean a doctor with tubes trying to intervene and control it could but I don't think I;d be possible for a person to do it themselves. Interesting to ponder though. :)
