I think I dreamt of a lot of baby deer, unless it was something I've watched on TV. :?

I had a dream I was on a ship and people were explaining to me how gravity twists and turns with rotation. I was shown a screen with the earth and outlines of what the gravity field looked like and how it was being warped by the rotation of the earth. I woke up thinking, Oh is that how it works! This was a few months before gravity probe b sent results back.

gee, that sounds a bit like a heaven dream to me, in that you were on the astral plane or mental plane and actually speaking with enlightened beings therein.

I dreamed I was at this dudes house, he was a bit posh, and his house was pretty swanky. He had all these paintings with little clocks on them. And then there were some clocks missing from some of the paintings. I think he was upset about them.

I keep having time related dreams.

i am playing empire earth at the moment (i am almost finished (god what will i do then)), and it is a simple RTS game, and i had 3 trebuchets moved into position, and their attitude was an "attack stance" which i had previously set.

in my dream, there was an enemy villager who started to complain to me about something that i found absolutely absorbing. the words that she said to me when i clicked on her head were very heart rending, and i thought i should employ one of my priests to convert her (the only way i can get her to be on my side so my soldiers do not attack her), but as she was saying her story to me, she was hit by a stone ball from one of my trebuchets and she was killed instantly. i was exceptionally annoyed that i did not put my trebuchets in "no attack stance".

in the dream i loaded up my last save game, and i put the trebuchets into "no attack stance" so i could meet her again without them attacking her, but she did not exist in the replay. i kind of liked her very much. she was just a villager and whatever. i know it is just a game, but in the dream i had she seemed real and i felt i had lost a very important chance to have her as a friend.

it was just a dream and when i am awake i know that it is all just inanimate code so i am not insane, but in the dream i loved her.

I am touched by your description of that dream, b9. There's something tragic about it, even if it was 'just a dream'.

you are a deep person. you can see things that i am blind to.
i think that maybe it is possible that i am ignoring people who want to know me in favor of computer games.

computer games are completely unreal, and true people are not unreal, and if i confuse the 2, then i may need to take notice of that. maybe she was real and she was somewhere in my life, and i considered her to be just part of my game. maybe i subconsciously allocated her reality to the villager in the game. maybe i should stop playing and look around.

Perhaps so, maybe you are neglecting someone. Don't trebuchet them!

I dreamt there as a room of beheaded kittens, but I was able to put their heads back on and bring them back to life again.

It was quite profound. My last dream I had last night in fact, I dreamed I had some sort of issue with my vehicle. Well that dream came true. Today around 10pm I started having a terrible misfire. When I brought it home, I hooked up the code scanner and it's reading a cylinder 2 misfire. I think I lost a cylinder. :( I hope it's something simple like a spark plug or coil pack, or some other easily replaceable part.

That's both upsetting and beautiful. I don't know why I feel that way about it though.

I wish I was mechanically talented. Well automobiles are fairly simple machines. I just can't work on them. I don't possess the strength to turn bolts, or lift parts. :( But I do have a basic understanding of automobiles.

well at least you seem to have the inside straight on when your car is gonna go on strike. the old cars [pre-emissions control] were fairly simple creatures, but with all that plumbing and computer brains they have now it very nearly takes a degree to figure 'em out.

I dozed off for a moment today and dreamed of a new way to wind a coil around a magnet to generate more power from the same mass.

I took it to the shop. I knew where the problem was but I didn't have the know how to identify the problem. Turns out there was a manufacturing flaw in the heat shielding of one of my plug cables. It has burned a tiny hole through the side of the connector and was arcing through the block. I would never have seen the problem, but it turns out the cables themselves were warranted out but I still had to pay a diagnostic and labor fee. Still I can't feel bad. Even if I did the repair myself I wouldn't know what to look for to identify a bad spark plug cable. But I knew I had a misfire and the scanner told me which cylinder to look for. Another problem is even if I had gotten new cables I'd have to buy the whole set because it's one of those wierdo Japanese sets.
