I don't know what it says about me that I don't understand the scores...

What is the difference between Subject score and Standard score?

The part I understand are the little x's. I was above average in verbal memory (84th percentile) and average in executive functioning (58th percentile). I'm assuming the percentile means 84% and 58% of test takers, respectively, did worse that I did?

I agree. I would have found it far more difficult to remember the words if I hadn't seen them. I would also have found it more difficult if nearly all the words didn't seem to be so closely related. They almost all could have referred to a coastal scene.

i would think so. that might have changed the results for me quite a bit.

I'm glad they didn't do that- I bombed the California Verbal Learning Test in my assessment (a word learning test that is presented orally), but I thought this one was really easy. I do consider my "verbal memory" to be good (as compared to my visual/spatial etc. memory), but I just need things written down!

think this is a good dyslexia test - but if you give all your details they will contact you and try to get you to take part in their programme

I got above average on verbal memory and average on executive function.

on the 'Dore test' I scored, moderate for dyslexia.

Not too surprised, although I thought I'd do worse on the verbal memory.

Verbal memory: 61th percentile (average)
Executive Functioning: 5th percentile (low)

I already figured I'd get a low score on executive functioning. I got more errors than I thought. I thought I had 2, but I had 7! Correct reaction time was 1194ms, or 1.194 seconds.

For the dore and dyslexia, I got a low probability. I figured I would. My problem with reading is something else entirely, although I could have been wrong (also, the test could be wrong, but I doubt it is in my case).

i scored in the 8th percentile verbal memory (low)
and 1st percentile executive functioning (very low)

im probally gonna take it again another time and see if my scores change


edit: august 18th (1 day later)

i took it again about a day later and did much better on the verbal memory then i did before
i scored in the 42nd percentile percentile (average)
and i scored slightly better on executive functioning
i scored in the 2nd percentile (very low)

Verbal memory test: 109 (70th percentile - average range)
Shifting attention test: 79 (8th percentile - low range)

I'm a little surprised I scored so low on the shifting attention test, but I probably shouldn't be.

Verbal was very high (Although I feel I could done even better), the 2nd part was very low. That one was really, REALLY hard for me.

Hmm. I got 55 on verbal memory (70th percentile) and 49 on executive functioning (42nd percentile). (I have NLD) I would have thought my executive function was worse than that. Maybe I've been confusing it with some other issue.

I did worse than I should on verbal memory have because I got distracted while they were showing the words to memorize. I found the executive functioning section to be unbelievably hard.

Verbal Memory -- 56, which is "Above", and 81st percentile
Executive Functioning -- 15, which is "Very Low", and 1st percentile (heheh...)

Maybe you are just decent at switching attention, but bad at other aspects of executive functioning. Plus, don't forget that how you perform under testing circumstances is not necessarily how you perform in real life, when you have other distractions and possibly other things on your mind that you are trying to juggle at the same time. That is actually a problem that can occur with ADHD testing- the person can "pull it together" and attend for the brief testing period, even though they have significant difficulty in everyday life. Testing is awfully artificial.

I got 108 (70th percentile) on visual memory... yet I hit the space bar twice accidentally because I thought the words would change in appearance once selected by me in order to make me sure the test was working...

I got only 33 (3rd percentile) on the second test... but realized my mistake, I mean, I kept hitting the answer I did not want to select, I do not know why... perhaps this is exactly what was evaluated in the test, however I think we tend to be nervous when doing these things and thus we can have a different score.

Well, in both cases, I did not do what I thought I should do... but I admit I needed time to adapt to the second test (whereas the visual memory test was easy, I kind of disappointed because I still remember the words though I am pretty sure one of them as escaped my mind), I was kind of slow sometimes in shifting attention. I think my score would still be pretty low on this one.
